He was an educator when this series was on the originally air. It was one of the first shows that portrayed a downs syndrome kid in a positive light. It would have been a real special Ed teachers must see tv.

"An audit produced by the Social Security Administration's inspector general last year found that from 2015 to 2022, the agency paid almost $8.6 trillion in benefits and made approximately $71.8 billion, or less than 1 percent, in improper payments that usually involved recipients getting too much money."
Okay, so they're downplaying it. And let's say it's actually a lower number - $50B that they overpaid over 10 years instead of $72B over 8 (just to make the math easier for the libs). For this, assume there are 72M people collecting SS.
Just insane levels of incompetence.

- If each employee worked 200 days that's 36 cases per day
- If these people only solved half of the overpayment, you'd still be $20B ahead - and that's the conservative number..
