I'm just glad he's "coaching" those hogs to cough up hairballs in big games instead of our Cats. That guy is the Anti-Coach and I'm glad he's been exorcized from our program.

The infuriating part is the sob looks like he's actually trying to win these games. Someone (chicken dude, AD?)must have called him on the carpet.
Those last 4 minutes were a coaching clinic. The yelling and running up the court with the guys on defense. Getting them to run clock and foul the wrong guy. Drawing up no play and hoping Z who was 0-8 would finally hit a 28 footer. Genius level coaching and execution.

He’s definitely trying harder than he has since probably 2015 honestly. That’s the last time he looked this into coaching. Maybe a lot of 2017, and some of Oscar’s first year.
He really is the loss whisperer. That guy could've coaxed a loss out of a Kansas meltdown like their last game. It's remarkable. He can play a team that is GIVING him exactly what he needs to win, and will screw the pooch. Reminds me of the scene from Tommy Boy where he's talking to the waitress about hamsters and starts tearing apart the dinner rolls.
If he hadn't been so arrogant, I'd feel bad for him, but refusing to do things he knew were right because "basketball bennies" had said it... Earned him a forever "GFY, CCC."
Exactly. If he was humble while he kept setting bad records we could forgive him. I appreciate that he left but the whole fake video with Mitch, his antics, and the way he dipped trying to extract even more money was like we got nothing for ya Cal get out.

Looked sloppy even at the end of the game but still pulled it out against the mighty Razorbacks and their Hall of Fame coach.
If they hit threes they can beat anyone. Just like most Cal teams we had. Every basket is a struggle for them. They were in this game last night because Auburn to score too. They shot well against us because it was like shooting in warm ups when nobody is guarding you. If we run into them again somehow in the SEC tournament, the same thing will happen if we play ole' defense.....

Z is shooting 41% from 3pt (before last night he was 45%), Knox is 34%, and Brazile 33% on low volume. Everyone else is 31% or under, and that includes Davis who is well ahead of anyone else in attempts, and Wagner who is 3rd. Richmond and Aidoo, who play a combined 50 minutes a game, are 0-11 on the season.
Fland was leading in attempts and shooting 36%. Hard to be good when you basically have one 3pt shooter left on your roster and he’s your center (and a defensive liability). Very poorly constructed roster by Cal, although to be fair it’s also poorly coached. Davis was shooting 41% last season.
I want to know who actually coached that team against us

The last few years at UK, Cal seemed to have a couple games he had circled- usually vs. Pearl and Oats. He had that same mentality going back to Rupp.
I don’t think he wins anything of worth at Ark, but when he hangs it up I wouldn’t be shocked if he has a winning record vs. UK.
I hated that they beat us no matter what but love every loss Arkansas has. Their roster would have been our team and so hopefully not making the NCAA's, and doing lousy only reinforces that BBN wasn't this evil empire some media pundits try to spin.
