Reading in WSJ today on agreed improvements to House one bill spending & budget plan plan. Instead of $4.5T tax cuts & "target" $1.5T savings over 10 years, a $3T debt increase, the Freedom Caucus got this gap cut to $2.5T by requiring, not targeting, $2T in savings or a reduction in tax cuts to keep the gap fixed. Original plan going in was $5-5.5T in tax cuts. Gap is still way too big for my tastes. Surprised FC folded like this. OTOH, these tax cuts are permanent vs. the limited years of the first Trump cuts, so there is that.

Senate appears to be coming on board with this vs. their two bills plan provided the House doesn't keep d!cking around timewise. Agree that one bill plan gets the tax savings locked in early on to be touted by Pubs.
