Good to see you are against checks and balances.... Almost as nice to see that comment as your one this morning when you indicated everyone in the DC area should have their property seized and then they would have to prove they got their income for legitimate sources. Guilty until proven innocent!!!!

If you don’t even have a baseline understanding of the arguments against district courts issuing nationwide injunctions on federal government actions, and the recent discussions at SCOTUS, I’m not going to teach you.

Japanese doritos (I think RFK Jr. supports this punishment for eating a dorito)

Been there and done did that, damn near poked my eye out with an arrow, and got bow string burns all across my forehead! Got a plan for the next time....

Actually, I’m well aware of how diversified their portfolios are. It could be paranoia, but I think my concerns are just. For starters, future monopolies will be easier to create with this consolidation of wealth, especially since the courts haven’t had the teeth to bust them in recent time.

Something affecting the middle class now is housing. Starter homes are going for 200k plus in Stanford and Lancaster. There’s an LLC based out of Toronto that owns 70k starter homes in the US.

Middle class was responsible for 62% of income (which I realize is different that assets) in 1970. Upper class was 29%.
Middle class now is 43% and upper class is 48%. Is the upper 10% just that much more productive now?

Middle class used to have twice the wealth as the 1% thirty years ago. Now the top 1% own more than all of middle class combined.

So I appreciate anyone that can answer this, but why are republicans not concerned about the trend? Why can’t democrats and republicans work together to strengthen our middle class again? Is DOGE alone enough to balance this out? What else would you guys recommend?

Monopolies are a massive issue right now, not just in the US but in the whole world. 10-12 companies own everything consumer goods related, and three investment groups own them. You can find the pretty graphs that outline who owns what via google search. I'm honestly now sure that is fixable barring a worldwide economic collapse.

As far as the middle class goes, that died when the manufacturing base was outsourced. That will likely never recover. In fact AI will probably be the killshot for the middle class. After that it is UBI all the way to the end.

Sorry to be a downer but history pretty much shows how this ends.

What happens next, then?

Never let a leftist lecture you on a single thing! They are incapable of any critical thinking or ability to go against their political masters, Think about how crazy the left is that we have got to this place that is 100% DUE TO DEMOCRATS.

I'm going to go 85% Democrats and 15% RINOS.

Trans stuff is proof you can get Democrats to go along with anything if they're told to by their masters.

Absolutely. They don't care as long as daddy govt pays the bills

I'm not a Republican, but that's nonsensical "reasoning." The middle class did not have "twice" the wealth thirty years ago: they were significantly poorer.

Everyone was.

How do you all fall for this?

You cannot tax wealth to prosperity. Don't tell me you find "reasoning" like the above as raising interesting points.

Twice the wealth in proportion to the top 1% 30 years ago. This is all proportional and you can do the same with salaries, prices of houses, price of college, etc. The middle class income equivalent now used to be able to afford a lot more things prior to the 90’s. I just wish we would work together to fix this.

I don't think even the staunchest MAGA people on here realize how much was wasted on DEI. Yeah, there were direct payments for DEI programs and wasted time taking DEI trainings, but the amount of economic waste in terms of hiring people who were not qualified for their jobs is what really takes the cake.

I honestly didn't have a clue.

I knew about the toppling govts and influencing elections, the stirring up of strife and disenfranchisement, and the propping up of media/propaganda all over, but had no clue about the freak show side of things.

This is just staggering. The raw numbers are crazy enough but 279 media ngos? That means thousands more on the take.

Literally everything about the left is fake. There was never a drive for any of this tranny insanity. All the covid fascism. The fake votes. Its literally all fake.

I hope they get to the bottom of it all and expose every single thing thats gone on. The culmination should be all the fake votes that are undoubtedly cast in each of the last 3 or 4 elections. I started suspecting massive fraud when obama was so easily reelected even though no US president was ever reelected with such poor metrics.

I hope the truth about how Fb and the other social media companies got started is in there as well, so that charade can be over. You don't just come up with a Fb social network sized set of servers and everything else that comes with it without a HUGE boost from govt. If you have a revenue source, sure, but none of those did from their inception.

No, I understood what you meant. You still don't understand that it's nonsense.

They could afford a lot less in and prior to the 90s. We should not work together. You will make us poorer.

Trump should just say forget about the buyouts and fire everyone.

SCOTUS needs to reign in these corrupt judges and their injunctions.

Trumps not hurt by the delay in the buyouts. These people have already resigned to get the buyout. Their desks are cleared out and they're access is gone.

The judge doing this did this to hurt the people accepting the buyout. Trump isn't going to be hurt, but I'm sure he's not happy these people have to wait to receive their money.

Dude, have you ever been to a Sam's club or Costco?

I can assure you, the food stamps are flying out the door.

Hell, half of the small business owners who shop there use the food stamp cards of their patrons, who trade them for smokes and booze, etc, for cents on the dollar to the Bodega owner.

That's why they can take as long as 18min to check out just one person. Card after card after card...

Imo that fake polling was to cover up the cheating. They maybe got 25% of the vote. Maybe. The rest is completely fake. Thats why they needed the fake everything so people wouldn't question.

Given Hollywood's insanity, is there any doubt usaid funded them too? They had to know noone would watch woke trainwrecks like the female Ghostbusters etc. No way they make that crap unless theyre backstopped.

Whether it was USAID or others, it's definitely coming

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly gifted US President Donald Trump with a golden pager and a regular one, a reference to the clandestine operation that decimated the Hezbollah terror group.

“That was a great operation,” Trump responded, according to Channel 12 news.

In return, Trump gave Netanyahu a photo of the two of them from the visit, with the dedication “To Bibi, a great leader.”

In September, thousands of pagers used by Hezbollah operatives across Lebanon suddenly exploded, killing and injuring dozens. A day later, hundreds of walkie-talkies also blew up, killing and injuring scores more."

When in history did a country export its manufacturing base and develop AI?
A large middle class wasn't a thing until the industrial revolution. Until then our society much more closely resembled Rome. Now those jobs are gone and they are not coming back in any significant number. AI will just eat up more current middle class jobs.

Rome is the closest thing in history to our republic. Rome didn't have a middle class per se. Lawyers, merchants, philosophers, doctors, etc., were considered equites (middle class). The reason they had a tiny middle class is because all the wealth (money and land) was concentrated in the hands of a few (Senators and landowners). They also imported slaves to do the jobs that would have been paid middle class wages, teachers, artisans, factory labor etc..

The only time Rome had "government workers" was when Augustus expanded government which caused the closest thing Rome had to office jobs. That expanded the equate class a bit.

AI can be equated to slave labor in that it works for free and takes away middle class paying jobs like office jobs. Rome didn't outsource their factories they just used slaves for free labor. The Roman plebs couldn't find work so they had to depend upon the rich for handouts. Bread and Circuses.

Will things go exactly like they did in Rome? No, probably not. Could it look very similar? Yes, it can.

Actually it could give a few thousand deadbeats the opportunity to take it. Govt employees are lazy and slow so this helps the perpetually late.

This will all balloon the deficit further. MAGA doesn't GAS.

Will be fun to see how much power Trump has over Congress Pubs. Delicious in fact.
Why do you hope Trump fails? Wouldn't a failed Trump presidency be bad for the country and for you? I don't have a crystal ball so I can't predict how all these things will turn out. But openly cheering for Trump, who you presumably voted for, to fail is just insane.

Sometimes you make a lot of sense. Other times, your hatred of Trump overwhelms your good sense. Just my $0.02. You do you.

Trump was on fire during this. Sorry perverts, your day is done.

Trump: "In Los Angeles in 2028, my administration will NOT stand by and watch men beat and batter female athletes... And nobody's going to be able to do a damn thing about it because when I speak, we speak with authority.”

President Trump just announced that any schools that allow boys into girls's sports will be investigated and stripped of funding.

"There will be no federal funding. So, this will effectively end the attack on female athletes at public K12 schools and virtually all US colleges and universities."

Riley gets honored:

This is the easiest win of all time bc democrats are that insane and pander to their lunatic base. Literally everyone agrees dudes shouldn't play womens sports except ppl like Sam who will do what he's told

I guess I don’t understand what is nonsense and I am trying to discern it.

Was the middle class always a mirage? You can look at spending power and inflation calculators and clearly salaries stretched farther 30-60 years ago. There’s obviously some things that have gotten cheaper, like technology, but everything else has stayed pretty similar

Jesus wouldn’t talk to you. He is ashamed that you have embarrassed him.
Jesus is a cool dude. I don’t think there’s any walk of life he wouldn’t stop and connect with.

People were not wealthier in the 70s or 90s than they are now, and it's not even close. It was not easier for middle class average Joe in the 1970s to have a family, live a good life and the American dream, then than it is now.

It's amazing to me that a chart or some tldr youtube video can convince you of that. It's absurd. I don't think you are actually trying to discern why. You believe the rich are rich because they are hoarding it from you, the poor, or the middle class; that the middle class would have life easier if you could just take from them and redistribute to everyone else. It's nonsense. The opposite would happen.
