Exactly. He'd make everyone poorer. Billionaires did so, by and large, by providing value to people commensurate that great wealth creation. They are/were responsible, directly and most importantly indirectly, for infinitely more wealth creation than they've consumed.

I would like to see Trump shut down the UN bldg and make the organization move to another country. Raze the bldg or clear all of the spyware out of it and use it for something to help people. The UN has been a joke for years.

Canada produces a lot of heavy tar sand oil in Alberta. US refineries (mainly Midwest) are designed/set up to handle that stuff (because they expect it based on contracts) vs. thin TX oil which is more valuable because it can be refined easier by less sophisticated refineries that exist in a lot of places. We can also handle sour/high sulfur crude. For US refineries to switch to better crude would take design changes & time. Net, we need that cheaper thick oil. Helps to keep our gas prices down. Strange that we produce more oil than we use, but we're set up for the poorer quality stuff in part because we create much added value from refining it. So we export too.
Yes I missed the sarcasm, but should have picked up on that. A million dollars in a money market account last year, would have generated 50k dollars in passive income. Tens of millions of dollars can create financial stability for generations to come. Why does people need billions of dollars of assets? I rags to riches stories where folks create something and are able to live extremely well as a result, but why does the 11 richest people in the US deserve 1 trillion dollars? That's my major gripe with our form of capitalism. Change the rules and tax these billionaires whenever they take loans out on unrecognized stock gains and provide some safety nets for the bottom 50%.
Those billionaires wouldn't come close to the wealth acquired without big breaks from the US government. Yes, the Waltons and Bezos creates thousands of jobs, but how many of those employees need to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. In just 10 years, Bezos wealth has ballooned from 20 billion to 250 billion. That is just obscene considering how many employees need government assistance on top of their wages.
Maybe if your ilk of 'educators' hadn't brainwashed children about gun violence and climate change and other nonsense, they would have a healthier perspective on life.

There are "govt" orgs and institutions that are not legal and not operating on behalf of the interests of the people. They won't be pushed aside easily
