You are correct about the China problem but that doesn't mean we shouldn't look for ways to find alternative sources of energy.
Personally, I chose not to buy a fully battery powered car last year because the technology isn't where it needs to be yet imo.
I do like hybrids and think solar could be supplemental on new housing builds but It shouldn't be mandated.
Just don't get the hostility towards moving away from fossil fuels when possible.
More incentives and less mandates is the way to go.
