Some facts about the economy the past 4 years-
• Average weekly earnings haven’t kept pace with prices. After adjusting for inflation, “real” weekly earnings declined 3.4%.
• The unemployment rate finally dropped back to just above the pre-pandemic low AFTER te 2024 election. (This figure no longer considers people of working age and ability who are not actively seeking employment or unemployment benefits.)
• Home prices inflated, up over 31%.
• Corporate profits up 38%.
• The trade deficit for goods and services is about 20.9% higher.
• The number of people without health insurance has gone down; enrollment in Affordable Care Act marketplace plans is at its highest point yet (because fewer people can afford their own private health insurance plans)
• The number of people receiving federal food assistance has declined by more than 700,000 total over the past 4 years (which is way lower than mortality in the same period among the same population)
• The publicly held debt has increased by about 24.7%.
• CO² emissions up over 5%.
• Average wage of US citizens dropped during the admin, but no specific figures were given.
20.5M jobs were lost in April 2020 due to the pandemic. 11M were added back before Trump left office. (THE BIGGEST gain in less than a year ever, if you go by Dem markers.) 5.9M were added to the pre-pandemic level during Biden admin. 146k per month, according to the administration which did not indicate/track how many of these jobs were taken by illegal immigrants nor how many were filled by legal, resident aliens.
