I just saw he drove around a cop that was supposed to be blocking.
Lightnings are fast. But New Orleans was using small wooden barriers. In my little hometown they had a parade and there was a 400 horsepower tractor blocking the road.
Updated to a death total of at least 15 now.

If this is true, I would imagine it’s far more likely the Sugar Bowl postponed… particularly if there are other suspects and their whereabouts are unknown.

The reality is they are incompatible with our Civilization. They literally believe they will eventually rule the world, that we will all be muslim one day, and in the meantime, it's perfectly acceptable to kill us for being heathens.
We've had this naive liberal worldview that everyone would be happy if we just spread democracy: if they just came here and lived like us, if they just had a flatscreen tv and a fridge full of processed food and beer and an SUV like we all do, they'd see the error in their primitive ways. It's just not true. It's ignorance at best, malice at worst.

Have to say I'm shocked that it took this long for something to happen like New Orleans. Every New Years Eve since 9/11 I've been waiting for it. Big outdoor celebrations in a lot of cities/towns. Of course maybe one or more have been stopped...broken up/arrested before they could pull it off and it was kept on the QT

Agreed. This apparently was an American citizen, born in Texas, who was probably “radicalized” at some point after serving in the military. Apparently not working alone - so there may be a “cell” involved. This is the type of thing they’ve made movies and tv shows about since 9/11.

Without having ANY more information to go on, have to wonder/assume the other members of the “cell” may not be here legally. Will be interesting to see what is uncovered in all of this.
