Not sure if posted, this is great stuff. Numbers 1-4 are perfect. Found a lot of the new Vivek/Musk WSJ op-ed interesting. Highlighting some things, including one way to decrease the number of federal employees is to mandate they come to the office 5 days a weeks haha. Really like this, ready for them to get to work. Just saw @screwduke1 saw this first. Give me one of your silver medals haha.
Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk have published a joint op-ed piece in the WSJ outlining their plans for the Department of Government Efficiency. Full TLDR and summary below:
1) They're going to build a lean legal team to work with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to apply the precedent set by two court cases:
- West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency (2022)
- Loper Bright v. Raimondo (2024)
That found that current federal regulations exceed the authority Congress has granted under the law to regulations agencies passed that they feel overstep their powers.They'll present them to Trump who can then issue an executive order to pause and/or rescind those regulations.
They're aware that critics will allege overreach but it's actually helping *prevent* overreach. They're also aware that executive orders aren't the best way to do things, but it's the best tool they have at the moment. Once the laws are fully rescinded, a future president couldn’t revive them themselves, but would have have to go through Congress.
2) They're also going to work with agency insiders to figure out the minimum number of federal employees necessary for the agencies to function and cut down to that number. The cuts will be proportionate to the number of regulations that are nullified. Terminated employees will be given generous severance packages.
One immediate thing they'll do is mandate federal employees come to the office five days a week which will create some voluntary termination of employees. Vivek and Elon explain that it is legal for them to do this reduction.
3) They're going to examine the $500B+ plus annual federal expenditures that are unauthorized by Congress i.e.
- $535 million a year to Public Broadcasting
- $1.5 billion for grants to international organizations
- $300 million to Planned Parenthood.
4) They're going to do large scale audits. Citing that the Pentagon has failed every single audit it sever had and they manage a $800B budget that we have no idea how is spent. They want to examine that.
5) They want to conclude and disband DOGE by July 4, 2026. The ultimate gift for the 250th anniversary of The United States of America.

Worked part time for a few months at Montgomery Wards after retiring from the military in 97 until getting a fulltime job with a military contractor in 98. Spent a couple of hours each morning preparing the store for opening which included off-loading trucks, stocking shelves, and general cleaning of floors and bathrooms. I thought when my woman got released from the hospital she'd pretty much be good to go.. but since she's been out she is constantly nauseous if not vomiting, dizzy constantly, and the most fatigued I ever have saw anyone. For the first 3 days out she was sneaking to the gym I told her WTF get your big beautiful butt to the house and rest.. she overdid it or something because she's not been the same since. Just worried so if you guys can pray for her again I'd love you all even more than I already do, if possible. I researched and it takes 2-4 Weeks to recover from medically induced coma but something changed after she went too hard too fast..that's why I'm worried. That is all.
She is all I've got boys.. 😔

Typing "Makeup on MilaK" reminds me of something. When I was a sophomore in college, I had the eye-opening "pleasure" of driving someone's date home one morning after a party. Seeing this thing without makeup scared the livin snot out of me.
All of the guys thought this girl was a 9 or better on a 10 point scale. ....seeing her without makeup...... she was a solid 3. I'm not kidding at all. Had NO IDEA it was her when I drove up to my buddies apartment to pick her up. NONE. Thought maybe she was a homeless woman when she walked up to the car.
SHE was the biggest btch to everyone, too. Complete psycho at the party. Complained about EVERYTHING. Talked sht about my buddy to one of his friends. We had initially chalked her ugliness up to her family having money and her being pretty until that moment. Next morning on the ride home she even told me I should ditch my then current girlfriend for her, and I was shocked speechless, as it was one of her good friends and here she was without makeup...
Even funnier... she told her friends (some that I knew obviously) that I was hitting on her when I dropped her off. I LOLed at the suggestion when they "confronted me" about it, not realizing she was standing behind them, and my girl did the same when she had "warned" her.
Anyway... my buddy spent the next 2 weeks avoiding her in his apartment and at the library because she kept coming around at all hours. He finally had to deal with her at a party a month later.
Told her flat out he could never date someone who treated his friends so poorly, told her she needed to apologize to every one of us, and quietly told her he had a Polaroid of her without makeup, if she didn't stop spreading rumors and being a btch.
Never heard a sour word from her again.

Hahahaha.. shooting lizard venom into my belly doesn't strike me as a great way to get healthy. I lost 80 lbs in 3 months one time from proper diet, no pop, 4 miles a day, 100 sit ups in morning, 100 push ups in morning. 100 more of each that evening. I was determined.. that was 10th grade. I need to start the push-ups and sit ups again because I couldn't 50 right now I bet. Still get my 4 miles in.

Did she get any meds/shots while she was in the hospital? I know someone that had these symptoms after getting their 2nd Pfizer dose.
Also, vertigo and accompanying nausea can be a symptom or after effects of a head trauma or neck/spine related injury/or misalignment due to injury or overdoing it. Definitely get her to rest and recover. There are some over the counter meds that an acquaintance of mine used (they're for motion sickness) that helped her vertigo temporarily while she was figuring out the cause.
