Yeah, he controls the border bill (while not being in a government position) and Camilla has nothing to do with it because she’s ‘only’ the VP.

Now when you talk of the disaster response, camilla is the one they should rely on because she’s “part of the current administration” and Trump is just a regular citizen who can’t do shit.

You’re a schizo lunatic freak all because TDS has you twisted up like a pretzel.

At this point, I'm amazed the election is close or at least relatively close. Maybe it won't turn out to be. Not sure Harris even wants to win. I think she could be scared at the prospect.

Trump's a joke of a candidate but I love the laughs he brings.

Can anybody think of why student achievement is flat to declining?

Seems like educational funding is being misallocated.....
The number of students is not increasing rapidly but the problems with the ones there have doubled.
More drugs, violence, weapons in schools along with more disrespect from the right wing politicians, MAGA parents, and society has caused huge discipline issues.
The kids are just a reflection of a dysfunctional and disrespectful society.

I wouldn't use the word 'wrong' to describe the numbers I provided. I chose nominees as the filibuster is overwhelmingly used for that procedure. For a complete list of all cloture motions filed, motions voted on, and motions invoked, see link below:

Cloture Motions
We were talking about passing legislation though, not nominating people. Not the right numbers for what we were discussing. And, as pointed out by the numbers, it isn’t “overwhelmingly” used for that at all. More filibusters used to deny votes than to block nominees. Both parties have even gone ‘nuclear’ and bypassed the filibuster for judicial appointments. They never do that for legislation. And you're welcome for providing you the correct numbers you relinked.

You know the left cheats their asses off as they fight transparency every step of the way. The right aren't the ones trying to create special rules.

The idea that this is a problem is crazy.

- Make sure only eligible voters are voting
- Verify you're who you say you are
- Have both parties represented with the counting which should be done out in the open for all to see to ensure everything is on the up and up.

No mail-in votes should even be allowed for obvious reasons. If you can't show up to vote then you shouldn't get a say.

Harris, the person who dropped out of the 2020 primary in embarrassment and didn’t receive a single vote from any democrat choosing her to actually run for president, is just trying to lose. It has nothing to do with the facts democrats wouldn’t even vote for her in a primary because she was completely incompetent.

Another winning proposal from Trump:

Trump said in a statement to the Wall Street Journal he supports “ending the double taxation of overseas Americans,” with the Journal noting such a change to the tax code could specifically unburden higher income Americans with investments who pay taxes for both the U.S. and the place they are residents of.

Individual Americans who live abroad do not have to pay taxes on the first $126,500 they earn, while joint filers who are married and meet other requirements can exclude up to $253,000 together, according to the Internal Revenue Service.

Trump campaign officials offered no details about Trump’s support of ending double taxation, the Journal reported, adding that of the approximately 4.4 million U.S. citizens who lived abroad in 2022, about 2.8 million of them were eligible to vote in their former states.

Not sure if true, but a British girl I once dated said that the US was the only nation that did that to their citizens.

Go to a school full of MAGA kids and parents and then go to a school full of single parent kids or kids being raised by their grandparents. Wonder which school has it worse?

Yeah, MAGA is the problem. The movement that had 4 years of power versus the machine that’s had 100 years of it.

People like you will never wake up and it’s sad.

Don't expect this guy to ever wake up. The brainwashing is crazy. In his mind, only white people bad, only Christians bad, the public school system is great, all federal agencies are fantastic, and everything is a perfect utopia without conservatives.

Take Baltimore for example. They haven't had a Republican run anything in 60 years. Look at their stats- nearly 80 percent of their high school students read at an elementary level, 40 percent of their high schools didn't have a single student that was proficient in math. Guess which schools have more violence and gangs? That's not even mentioning the crime rates.

By the way, can everyone cut the BS and stop pretending this isn't reality? Every single person knows what "that's a bad school" means. Everyone. Why must everyone pretend this isn't the truth?

I'm not a centrist anywhere. Centrists suck. Generally people who haven't thought through issues enough to have opinions. Sad.
Absolutely false. How do you arrive at that conclusion. Generally a true “centrist” has studied a variety of issues and looked at both sides of the issues and finds middle ground in supporting various things from both sides. I.e. the “socially liberal, fiscally conservative” crowd or vice versa. Are you saying if someone were to “study all the issues” they would fall on the far left liberal spectrum like yourself? That all of your opinions are the correct ones and no others are valid?

While another 3 million plus lost their jobs. Total of 38M jobs lost since this time last year. Combine that with trickling job gains and you have a dismal outlook. A sure sign of that is the restaurants struggling, as I've seen and heard for a good part of this year.

On the bright side we can somewhat estimate how many illegals have entered the country over the last year by subtracting the job gains and the losses due to businesses shuttered, from the total job losses.

Yeah, what gives? Didn't they claim they were the 'love trumps hate' and the 'joy' party.

Wow. Just went to reply to it and someone on this site deleted that post of the woman destroying the Trump sign. @BigSexyCat may be right. It's a factual post. On what grounds did they delete it? Wtf

I know at least 1 person that deranged. Maybe 2. One of our mutual friends considered putting a Trump/Vance bumper sticker on their car one day, but said he'd miss too much work recording him waiting to see him flip out

Yes. Every situation has a theoretical best outcome. Which is the position to hold, not just what happens to be at the center of society's scale at any given moment in history. Different people have different priorities, so obviously theoretically perfect politics would just be the competition of those priorities. But those values would still be represented by a coherent worldview and hence have a solid place on the political spectrum, not the center. Neither every leftwing nor every rightwing position are correct, but they're generally going to be much more correct than the centrist compromise between them, as any compromise reached will just be a watered-down version of either position.

Get out of the hills of KY and you may realize this policy would be directed at employees of US multinationals on assignment overseas, and not people with second homes, you dunce.

I don’t think the policy is a big win or very impactful or anything, I just find it amusing how ignorant you are.
