POLITICAL THREAD

How will they rule ??!

  • YES - Qualified

    Votes: 41 82.0%
  • NO - Disqualified

    Votes: 9 18.0%

  • Total voters
    50
  • Poll closed .
Swing states vary generationally. I don't think ANY state is peforming due diligence.
As for ANY, KY does. Must have photo ID to vote. Each precinct counts the number of voters from the sign-in books versus the total votes cast per machine tallies & reconciles. Paper ballots stay locked in voting machine for 60 days. If someone wants to challenge those results they pay a fee & those votes are hand counted. Lock boxes for mailed out ballots hand delivered are only at county buildings & I believe camera monitored. Don't know how mailed in ballots are managed.

Net, I believe KY has about the most secure elections of any state. Fraud proof? No.

Republicans know so much about economics.

Repubiican economics produced the banking collapse of 2008-2009
Republicans warned us unanimously against the Clinton tax rises of 1993. Not one vote. Unanimous in warnings and scoffing. And, of course, we had the most prosperous time in our history. 2 budget surpluses. '

Yeah, Republicans really understand economics. Apparently they just choose to do the opposite.
fannie mae, freddy mac, and barney frank led to that, you dimwit. Do the tech and housing bubble mean anything to you?

(That said, I voted for Clinton the second time)

Vhcat is a Liz Chaney type if that helps any. I put him on ignore a few weeks ago. He brings nothing to the table imo.
Is Liz Chaney voting for Trump? Since when? Did I think Trump should be impeached? Of course I'm not Lockstep MAGA. I think for myself, like it our not. What a total DA. I mean in 19 years you've posted <300 times and anyone is supposed to GAS what you say now. LOL.

I'm surprised the campus police didn't break up such an anti-American event.
Well, they probably weren't threatening other students, smashing in windows, pooping in the common areas, and throwing their trash everywhere, so...

(Other than West Lafayette, IN (Purdue), Columbus is the worst place/scene/campus in the Big 10. And that is saying a LOT, because Big10 towns are, by and large, horrible. And it goes w/o saying, Big10 fans are bottom tier.

I'm all-in on this health advice. OF course their definition of moderation could be different than mine.

"Can red wine in moderation boost brain and heart health? Some experts still say yes

Red wine may be considered part of a balanced diet and lifestyle, not a replacement for good habits"

I beg your pardon. GD attends Purdue & loves it. Mitch Daniels really elevated its quality & they've held the tuition line for several years due to his policies.

I want to be crystal clear. I'm not making any assertions about which "WAY" fraudulent votes have gone. I'm saying that it doesn't matter. And that, in Federal elections, it's safe to say that fraud has occurred. It doesn't matter if it is orchestrated or if it is through dereleciton of duty. It HAS happened. We KNOW this, because of the many reasons I've listed.

I am absolutely astounded at the "oh well, it doesn't really matter" attitude by some on here.

It matters a whole helluva a lot. There is nothing that matters MORE than properly run elections. It's the basis for everything else.

One can only be left with the impression that people who "don't care" have a vested interest in keeping things casual. What other reason could there be? Other than abject laziness. And that could be either side.

My God, I just don't get it...

Lazy or nefarious, it doesn't matter, because either one make you a piss poor American citizen.
Many people prioritize ease of access over absolute security, because as you've acknowledged over the course of the conversation it's highly unlikely there's enough fraud to affect elections. Invariably someone is going to fill out another ballot for their dead spouse, but that's one vote. We look for it, we prosecute it, but as long as it isn't a major issue affecting outcomes then expanding participation is generally more important than security.

It’s killing me you shit for brains asshole. My income has declined by 85% under this shit administration. The last two years I have done nothing but live off the money I saved up while Trump was president.

It's killing restaurants, real estate, and other retail. Govt employees and welfare folks might not know. The rest that "don't know" are just FOS or head-in-the-sand "it's not affecting me" liberals/rinos.

If that is the impression I gave you, that was a mistake on my part. I don't know how one could make an assumption either way. You have, in your usual fashion, changed the argument to fit the narrative that you support. And expanding participation is NOT more important than security. You are clearly one of those piss poor Americans that are vested in the inefficiency.

You're dead wrong about this, and no amount of logical gymnastics will change that. Transparency and accountability frighten you.

I went back and looked at a previous post, and I said it doesn't matter. To anyone with contextual reading skills, it is clear that I meant it doesn't matter to whom it benefits. Meaning, the fraud. So that should clear things up for you. You already know this of course. And you know that I'm 100 percent correct. You just want to have your fit/be "heard".

It's an election, not differential equations. It's not hard to keep the voter rolls current, insure that only eligible voters cast ballots etc.

And even if it IS hard, it is a mandatory, and vital job. So, whatever the f*** it takes, just do it. No excuses. Until such time, as that is accomplished, our elections are fraudulent, by definition. PERIOD, End of argument.

Maybe I'm just now noticing it, but almost every single day a news article comes across my feed about a restaurant, fast food chain, ice cream shop, etc. filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy. It sure seems like it's happening more and more often - is that just recency bias or are there more companies filing bankruptcy here lately? What about individuals? Is this 'wonderful economy' basically smoke and mirrors and built on revolving debt and is soon to crumble? I sincerely hope not. But, I also believe the 'official' data that is released to the general public is slanted and/or massaged to present the best light possible (whoever is in the White House, btw). If the economy is so good, why is the Federal Reserve so anxious to cut rates to stimulate it?

No the banking collapse was caused by race based progressive policies pushed by people like Jackson and Sharpton and most of all Barney Frank playing the race card on banks and mortgage lenders , pressuring them to relax almost totally their lending criteria in the name of “everybody has the right to own a home”. The result was banks being forced to extend mortgage loans to people who obviously would default in short order. Then, when the banks tried to enforce the loan agreements, progressive courts hamstrung them by allowing insane defenses such as “ its your fault, you made the loan to me knowing I’d almost certainly default”.

Congrats . You’re still batting 1.000.

You just spent 10 minutes, giving an historical economics lesson to a piece of #2 gravel. LOL

Small business bankruptcies are up 40% YoY.

239M to the Taliban? That's nothing compared the 80B in military equipment Biden/Harris gifted them with. The Tallies love them some Biden/Harris. The gift that keeps giving...

Maybe the Taliban will return the money.

It really gives you a warm feeling, doesn't it? Knowing that your tax dollars are going to help those in need.

I actually disagree. Was listening to a Podcast on this yesterday by physicist J. Doyne Farmer. He is the Baillie Gifford Professor of Complex Systems Science at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at Oxford University so he's not just some bum off the street. He also beat the casino in Roulette back in the early 80's so there's that.

He agrees that the crap you mention didn't help, but the true cause through his models were the complex mortgage instruments that rushed a gazillion dollars into the system.

To date the Dems have created and released a worldwide virus to assist in stealing an election, actually stolen an election with manufactured fake ballots, jailed those who protested those results and have let millions of illegals in to steal another election. Tried to jail and assignat their chief political rival. Do you really think this election will be fair lol? The fix is in. We no longer live in a free country and soon this site and all forms of free speech will be gone. Our country will be the new China with the social credit scores and all other forms of social controls that China has. We will be ruled by the mega rich just like communist countries are.
I (we) know all these things, but man, when it's all written down in one well written paragraph it's devastating.
Good post....and I'm sure there is even more that you could have said.

Due to my age and Andy's covid restrictions, I decided to semi retire from my manufacturing wholesale business. I only kept enough customers to keep the wife and I busy with no employees. One of them says things have never been slower in his forty years in business. He covers five Midwestern states. I still do orders for a hospitality supplier. Things are very slow for him.
I guess that means the hospitality sector is slow. My suppliers are very slow and some have closed their doors for good.

Learn “conditions-based withdrawal”. If you really think Biden couldn’t have done anything about the withdrawal date as POTUS, then you are hopelessly confused and I can’t help you.
“President Biden’s choices for how to execute a withdrawal from Afghanistan were severely constrained by conditions created by his predecessor,” the White House summary states, noting that when Biden entered office, “the Taliban were in the strongest military position that they had been in since 2001, controlling or contesting nearly half of the country.”
