Where did I argue they do everything efficiently or perfectly? And yes that’s my point, there are institutions that need to remain as part of the federal govt and they don’t need to be all political appointees like Trump essentially is trying to do.

We do IRS "civil service" (LMAO) people look into and release near-exclusively Pub & right-wing Orgs tax returns? Why didn't these civil service people stop the contractor from releasing rich & famous people's tax returns? Complicit I say.
I seriously doubt that Biden has instructed the DOJ to put the clamps on the Epstein stuff. I just don't think that's the case. Now, maybe there are folks IN the DOJ that are hindering efforts in that area, I'm just saying that I don't believe it's at Biden's direction.

Oh I get it. My sense though is, that you and I have markedly different "lists" with respect to what the government should or should not be in charge of. All Executive branch government employees are, essentially Presidential (and therfore political) appointees. So, with respect to that, I guess I DON'T get your point.

This "no evidence of fraud has been found" argument is spurious. It's impossible to prove or disprove that the person casting the ballot is who they say they are.

Straw man argument. Of course there are many bad private examples, but I never claimed all private organizations are great.
There are however, MANY examples of private organizations going under as the market weeds them out. No such possibility with a gov’t in charge of its own oversight.
There are also MANY examples of private enterprise FAR outperforming their gov’t counterparts and almost none in reverse.
So my request stands, show me a gov’t entity that operates well and actually does what it’s supposed to do.
Edit: missed the part about private orgs breaking the law. This is very true, but that typically happens because the gov’t oversight that is supposed to be there to stop that, doesn’t do it’s job…often on purpose…

There's no point in engaging them on the content as they actually support it. They're MAGA Republicans, they're where it comes from. Might shock you but there are thousands of civil service employees with doctorates, masters degrees and years and years of service and experience. Those people make up all the major institutions. But sure I’d love to let Trump handpick replacements and put his lackies in there.
