You don’t have a clue who you support. You call of all us Nazis. Guess what Zelensky is, a Nazi! AZOV battalion, have you paid any attention to their symbols?

Just shows you how brainwashed people are.
No, you're the one who's clueless. I was the one who told this thread about Azov. Here's a post from February 4th before the war even began:
The entire American government funded and trained the Neo-Nazi Azov Battalion there. The Pentagon even made them take out an amendment banning funding Azov in 2015.
I know what's going on. Far more than the youtubers you get your rehashed info from. There was an entire conversation about it yesterday where I specifically pointed out that everyone from communists to anarchists to Nazis were united against the Russian invasion. You know how you empower Nazis? You invade their country and make them look like freedom fighters defending their homeland. Average Ukrainians are thanking those Nazis right now because they're fighting the Russians, instead of marginalizing them like they would in peacetime. Repeating your Kremlin propaganda does nothing to fight Nazis. It empowers them.

Isn’t that a hunter original on the wall?

Sam, the whole flawed logic of if you don’t like Z it must mean you love Putin is so lame. No one grounded in reality cares about Putin. If he wasn’t yalls boogeyman, I’d prob never even hear his name anymore.
Ok so does the same logic apply to Xi? "No one grounded in reality cares"?

Lol….here is a good one. Speaker is 3rd in line. What are the odds that we will be saying President McCarthy by the end of the year? What are the odds he is related to Joe? Wouldn’t that come full circle.

BTW, Joe is right on point in this video.

It's always kind of amazed me at how his name has been drug thru the mud so much that he is now regarded as some type of pariah. Sure, mistakes were made, but basically he was right and doing what was best for the country.

China has control over a significant amount of the rare earth elements on this planet, as well as the supply chains of many of the products critical to our every day lives. We’ve seen high level spies working with democrat officials (Feinstein, Swalwell, etc.) and they most assuredly have control over a material portion of the Washington establishment.

Putin allegedly has Jesus arm wrestling memes and a military that can’t beat Ukraine.

Communism will fail, as it always does. But in the meantime we need to quickly reshore critical manufacturing.

That’s the thing, Hitler wasn’t a Nazi, he was a National Socialist, which is part of the lie. Does it make since for a Zionist to kill their own?

You talk about me being brainwashed but that's exactly what this is. Anti-communist brainwashing. Do you know any communists? What do they say and do? America and communism are not two ends of a spectrum like McCarthy and the rest sold you on. They don't even exist on the same continuum.

My God man. Russia has never attacked NATO but will if we don’t intervene in Ukraine?
China hasn't attacked Taiwan... Yet.
North Korea hasn't attacked S. Korea... Yet.
Iran hasn't attacked any of its neighbors either.
They are watching how we respond to Russian aggression.
This is way bigger than Russia v Ukraine.

So for all these years they held off on attacking South Korea and Taiwan in anticipation of seeing what we’d do if Russia someday invaded Ukraine?

We know you are a communist. So that’s one person.

Anti-communist brainwashing is just as important as anti-pedophile brainwashing

Both are worthy of the death penalty

I just don’t get the opposition. There are no Americans dying for this cause. The government wastes literal trillions already, the money is a drop in the bucket. Y’all as conservatives don’t support that money going to the needy even if it wasn’t going to Ukraine. So why do you even care?
Gotta start somewhere.

I agree take all the money that is earmarked for Ukraine and give it to the American needy. By the time bureaucrats - sticky bandits, if you will - are done they should see 10%.

Inflation was less than 2% for 2020. It was over 6% for 2022. Not sure what you mean by “negative” inflation.
All I know is eggs, milk, gas and just about everything else costs a helluva lot more than it did two years ago. That's not the definition of winning. I don't see food prices dropping with this "negative inflation"

The American government does not care about Ukraine. Nor should anyone - its a non democratic country full of oligarchs which you claim you hate - ppl have just been conditioned to think Russia runs the universe. It's funny...go back 7 years and Obama said we don't need to involve ourselves in their affairs...all the press agreed, the 80s were over. But memes or something can overthrow super powers now.

Do you see a statue of the leader from the leadership council in the Yemeni Civil War? We're supporting that too.

Love the virtue signal about the needy...bc we should tax more as opposed to create opportunity...bc its worked so many times before.

Saw an article the other day where eggs were up something like 69%. In my neck of the woods they've more like tripled. '19 and '20 I got eggs at Krogers for as low as $.49 a dozen. Now they're $2 or $3.
Most of the groceries we buy have gone up much, much more than the inflation rate reported. Olives at Meijer have gone from $1.39 to $2.49. And we all could go on and on.
As I've mentioned before, my ex-FIL was fairly high up in the Labor Dept. After a lot of stories he told me....I don't believe most of the numbers that come out of the gov't.

American opinions on the war in Ukraine seem to break into a handful of camps:

1) Screw the rest of the world, it isn't our problem: These people come from across the political spectrum but are mostly concentrated at the ends, the 'far' left and right. On the right it's basically, "That really sucks for them but their issues created it and their resolve has to work it out. And that same thing will happen here if we aren't careful with throwing money in the trashbin and lighting it on fire like we are by sending it over there." On the left it's basically, "War bad. All war bad. You fund war and bombs that make war and blow up hospitals. Bad."

2) They deserve our help as citizens of a sovereign legal democracy that were invaded by a larger, stronger neighbor for said neighbor's material gain: These people also come from across the traditional political spectrum but tend to be concentrated more towards the middle instead of the extremes. Whether their reasoning boils down to humanitarian(self defense), legal(breach of international law), political(it's in American interests to both help them and weaken Russia, the Budapest Memorandum), or economic(lucrative contracts for fatcats) is immaterial as their argument is all basically the same, they deserve our help. It's just about how much to help them. The majority fall into this category and it's where you see all the bickering over just how much money or which types of military vehicles or arms or anti-air capabilities. No NATO boots on the ground.

3) Ukraine bad, Russia good: Almost no one in this category in American politics. There are scattered handfuls of people with various ties out in the public who hold this view, but they have next to no cohesion or political power. They would want us to help Russia and you see zero of that in any media let alone halls of power. Barely a hint on even social media.

4) Russia bad, Ukraine doesn't matter: This group is sadly larger than it has any right to be and hopefully they forgive me for saying this but it's ignorant people. Many goodhearted souls on both the right and left who are anti-Russian, mostly because of the Cold War, and want that bastard Putin to go down in flames. Any side effects be damned. They have to be controlled because they don't know the intricacies of any geopolitical squabble, not even NATO + Russia = NUKES.

Group 2 have so far channeled group 4's rage into the policy they want. Group 1 can't oppose them as they're naturally fewer in number and don't have group 3 to ally with since they basically don't exist. Welcome to basically every major decision to come out of our democracy for centuries. The powers that be manipulate the public with emotional appeals to allow them to engage in activities that will net them profit. The thing about the profit motive though is that it isn't immoral, it's amoral. This time it happens to be that the profitable thing for the military industrial complex is selling help to someone who I personally feel deserves help. That determination is up to each individual to make, but in the real world of real people there is an overwhelming abundance of evidence for which side to pick. Not Putin's. Regardless of how corrupt Ukraine may be, and how many political extremists it may have(Azov), life for its citizens will be better under a more western, open society than under Putin's thumb. Especially now that they've pricked that thumb and made it bleed. Ukrainians know all about that, ask the Cossacks.

Sorry for the novel but just thought it wise to throw my Ukraine take out since much of the conversation from that thread has moved over here since it got nuked.

In a sense yeah…but Putin doesn’t have his tentacles all over nearly every aspect of American politics, culture, healthcare, business, education, real estate, media, entertainment etc.
He does, but yeah not to the same degree or aims as Xi. Point taken. I don't see either of them as personal threats to the United States, but I see both of them as assholes who are large regional threats to stability and their neighbors. I hate when any large power flexes its imperial might to the detriment of the common people, not just America.

So for all these years they held off on attacking South Korea and Taiwan in anticipation of seeing what we’d do if Russia someday invaded Ukraine?

[laughing]
No. You are seeing it all wrong.
They have long held off attacking other countries in fear of what our reaction would most likely be.
Allowing Russia to take Ukraine by force with no response from NATO would reverse their previous assumptions and likely lead to more aggression by countries like China into Taiwan.
Deterrence is the key to a strong national policy.
Seriously....Just ask yourself this exact question....
How have the news sources I rely on to interpret national events somehow convinced me that Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong, and an Ayatollah in Iran know better what is necessary for U.S. national security than my own country does.
