The most recent example is what's happening right now. Trump knows he lost as does the rest of the GOP. These lawsuits and recounts aren't about fighting for democracy for the American people. It's about pandering to his base and setting up a "president-in-exile" scenario to keep his supporters firmly in his corner. Whether that's to parlay that support into another run in 2024, putting one of his dumb kids up for office, or simply forming a far right media empire, it's all about one thing...increasing the Trump brand. For all the guy's faults, he's a genius at self-promotion.
I've said here before that I do think that some of what Trump did was good. Some wasn't. Same with Obama or any other president. The truth is usually in the middle, and with a population this divided ideologically, half of the country will agree or disagree with any policy.
What I'm not going to fall for is being gaslit into believing that he ran and did things for the good of the American people. You're barking up the wrong tree with me on that crap.
