People put way too much into what pundit's opinions of polls are and don't pay enough attention to the data. Just because some hack at NBC says that a 4% lead in national polling gave Hillary a 95% chance to win doesn't make it true. Smart people like Nate Silver gave Trump a 25% chance to win the EC. State polling presidential elections is awful - those nip and tuck states that Trump needed to win, he won. Credit him for getting out his vote in the rust belt where he needed it. The final national polls, when blended, had HRC up by about 4%. She won by about 2%. That's extremely close.
Also, if every poll was 8-15% percent off, Bevin would still be Governor in a landslide, and the GOP would control about 90% of the seats in Washington. You're overreacting big time. Look at data, not opinions.
Not true at all Kitty. I support and respect those who serve. What I won't do, is give support to psychos like Eddie. It's like any profession; majority of people in the military are good people, but then you have the crazies that make the profession look bad (see police, teachers, etc.). With that being said, I don't think most that are in the military are like him.

Others he served with clearly indicated he wasn’t stable. They used the words psychopath and evil and were around him on a daily basis. They said they were out there trying to prevent him from killing civilians because he liked to make burqas fly (or something to that effect). Sorry but I don’t think that makes him a stable individual. Why is it so hard for you to believe that there are some bad apples in the military? Or is it more that Trump pardoned him and brought him in for a photo opp?

I think their are bad apples in all walks of life. My point is we send soldiers to fight wars(kill people), don't get offended when they actually kill people. ISIS wore no uniforms, were not an organized army of ANY country. Hard to acknowledge who is friend or enemy. Same thing happened in Vietnam, only the NVA wore uniforms, the Cong wore no uniforms, and would attack then melt into civilians. Hard to know friend or foe.

I agree with the sentiment of your post but don’t think this was quite the case with what happened w respect to Gallagher based on the comments of those that served with him. One guy testified he took pleasure in killing women, children, and the elderly. Doesn’t really sound like a case of not knowing who the enemy is. It’s pretty telling when 7+ members of his unit break their code of silence to speak out against him. If we reversed all of this and was an enemy soldier doing all of this to Americans and getting pardoned, there would be outrage
