A show I watched last night had a clip for a New York TV station (I think Albany) talking about that there are several hotels/motels that were full of immigrants that are now empty.

My mom's next door neighbors are probably illegals that are renting. I believe they are Cuban and don't speak English. They were running some kind of scam buying old hauled away appliances from Lowes and Home Depot Latino drivers that were supposed to be scrapped. Then selling them on Facebook Marketplace.

They had their 2 car garage full of them, another garage with a carport full of them, and had them sitting outside along the fence line. My mom and some other neighbors helped get it shutdown for the most part. They have a small box truck they are still bringing some home in. I'm sure they are ripping off people. Most people probably get new ones to replace those that are broken.

When I lived in Atlanta we had some friends where there was a new house being built next door. Big beautiful house. The new owners would work a half day every Friday so they could stop by and see the progress and meet with the builder. And, would many times call up friends about where they would meet for Friday dinner (every Friday). House got built and they moved in. About a month later they were out w/friends for Friday dinner...came home...house was empty. Nothing left. Come to find out, there were nothing but illegals working on the house. All acted like they couldn't speak English. They (or at least one who spoke English) knew this couple weren't home every Friday night, so when they were gone a huge box truck pulled up in the driveway and loaded everything up. Fortunately the truck was apprehended just as it was ready to cross the border in Texas a few days later.
