I tend to vote on my pocketbook and national defense. I'm retired from education.
Republicans traditionally suck on funding education/teacher's salaries.
MAGA party is an isolationist pro Putin party on national defense.
I am for less government incursion into people's bodies/lives/doctors offices. The current Republican stance on abortion is the opposite of that.
Those issues currently effect me more than gay or trans issues and abortion which are the issues the current Republican party spends 90 percent of it's legislative energy on.

So, abortion effects you more than abortion?

And you wonder why we call you Village Idiot.

I have said for a very long time that the legislature should have given him a lot of difficult bills to veto. That was the only way he would have a legislative record to defend. The KY legislature does for him what Newt and the GOP congress did for Clinton. Saving them from themselves.

Yep....Andy's record is nothing more than destroy a state's economy, then build it back w/ covid million$.

That's the very reason we built checks and balances into our government. To constrain it from ever having the "unfettered" power you're describing. From multiple competing branches of government to the Bill of Rights, we codified these restraints to contrast with the absolute power of the monarchies that had come before. Our democratic principles themselves are a restraint on the power of authority; if someone does something we don't like we, the people, vote them out. I support most forms of democratic reforms like Initiative, Referendum, and Recall which you can see the clear historical progression of through the Western states.

None of this has anything to do with the discussion of how to run the economy. There have been authoritarian capitalist monarchies, authoritarian socialist oligarchies, authoritarian feudalist collectives, and authoritarian slaver states. And just about every mashup of the above and others not mentioned. What none of us want is totalitarian/authoritarianism, regardless of what guise it's cloaked in. Being capitalist didn't save Japanese Americans from the internment camps in WWII. What matters are the specific actions, not any of these ideological labels we bandy about.

Disney down another 3% today. Lowest px since Nov... in a massive up year.

This company will be a case study at Gatton over the next decade on "How to NOT run a company".

Liberalism ruins everything it touches, and DIS is a PERFECT example.
that happens when you alienate half the population that you depend on for business. And if i'm honest, probably a larger majority since it's typically families with children and jobs and family values, something libs know nothing about.

I mean, any reasonable person would be willing to give at least ONE reason why they think he's a POS. Why can't you give ONE REASON?

I mean, like, do you really think this would be hard to do? Really? You can't think of a single reason why Donald Trump could be perceived as shitty human being?

THAT is why this country is screwed. It's a ****ing religion.

The violence he advocates should be called out, especially at this point, however the world needs to see how unhinged and psychotic he and many like him have become, so let him keep baring his ass on there.
In a way I agree and see your point. But the type of evil rhetoric Keith says was probably read by people like the guy who shot Trump.

Alright, I'm going to out myself. I hate rap...won't listen to a second. The Mrs loves country. Me, not so much. So I rarely/only listen when she has it on. I prefer classic rock, but normally only when I'm working in the garage or out on the property on the weekends (when there's no talk radio). So....watching the RNC I kept wondering who the young couple was sitting next to Trump. Was watching on RightSide Broadcasting...so no commentary.

Without the big cowboy hat he was unrecognizable (at least to me)...

How did they protect him? Our media is beyond repair that a former president who is only alive because he turned his head at the exact right moment shouldn't question the protection he was given even though his protection was under staffed and let a guy they had eyes on for a long time take a shot at him. Acosta's guest says Trump 'is looking at this through the color of politics, not the reality of the situation.' Shameless.

Also on Acosta's show. Saying DEI means you are as racist as a Canadian.

Man, you need to be honest with yourself. Look at your response. You can’t give a reason other than what you’ve been told to believe about him personally.

Unless you personally know the man, he is certainly no shittier than Biden, both Clintons, all the Kennedys, Pelosi, and much more.

That’s an ironclad fact.

Move past your programming, brother. Think for yourself.

Because he’s not talking about the soldiers. He’s talking about politicians who have for years created ways to fight endless wars to profit entities like Lockheed Martin. Democrats are now in the back pocket of these entities which is why they don’t want Trump in office.
So who are the entities that are going to make money off these parts of Trump's platform?

  1. PREVENT WORLD WAR THREE, RESTORE PEACE IN EUROPE AND IN THE MIDDLE EAST, AND BUILD A GREAT IRON DOME MISSILE DEFENSE SHIELD OVER OUR ENTIRE COUNTRY -- ALL MADE IN AMERICA
  2. STRENGTHEN AND MODERNIZE OUR MILITARY, MAKING IT, WITHOUT QUESTION, THE STRONGEST AND MOST POWERFUL IN THE WORLD.
