Whether Trump wins or not Americans have lost and most are too tribal in their ideology to realize it. We have allowed the political elite and their friends/donors destroy our country while them and their families prosper and most of us will reap what’s left. I paid a fortune in taxes again this year only to continue to drive on roads, bridges, etc that are crumbling. We all pay for entitlements that many of us will never receive when the system collapses because politicians stole our money. The national debt is at levels that is impossible to comprehend. I have said this a millions times but government is nothing more than the biggest organized crime enterprise in existence. In a perfect world, 90% of these people would be in prison or executed for treason but they got Trump so Democracy is now saved…..

But DeSantis’ primary campaign was so bad, I don’t know if he could have won the general. And I think he made the Trump mistake of buying up to Washington insiders running his campaign, so I don’t know that draining the swamp would have been guaranteed.

Only hope for the country now is Trump wins and throws every democrat who’s ever thought about committing a crime in federal prison.

Wouldn't matter if trump threw his support to him. Desantis would destroy libs. I think he didn't really want to run without Trump's blessing but felt he had to. Once he was against libs it would've been lights out.

Even if Trump wins and goes in a rampage the entire thing would be in question as a revenge tour. Plus he had four years to do it before and did nothing.

How often has High Speed rail been tried in America and failed. California's version has failed miserably and cost the state Billions. That's what happens when you let the government try to run a project. Especially a liberal government.

Regardless, High speed rail isn't something that's going to affect most people's way of life in a meaningful way. I said I have 30 or so years left. Could be more, could be less, that puts me in my mid-80's. There is zero chance that a meaningful countrywide system of high speed rail will be built in that span of time.

Living the next 30 years of my life beholden to the government for my very sustenance, isn't exactly what I'd call making the average American's lives better.
