Country has got to just start splitting up state by state, city by city. There are CVS' like this near me. The difference of just a few miles between CVS' that you feel safe in, and ones you wouldn't dare go in after the sun sets.
The immer cities are just unliveable now. Downtown Albany is losing business after business, people steer clear of it. These urban areas have gotten so bad that people have literally fled the area, moving to suburbs or other cities and townships that don't allow this.
Then maybe your political party of choice should stop trying to throw people in jail for opposing views, firing them from their jobs and wanting to deny them access to medical care for not taking an experimental shot, and burning down cities when career criminals are subjected to justice. There is no more time for compromise. We tried that and the authoritarians took full advantage to gain power that they don’t plan to relinquish.

I really do think the country is too fractured. We're going to have to divide in some way. Not something so full blown and dramatic like secession. But there just needs to be cities and areas where each political ideal can have the vast majority of its preferred laws and way of life in place.
And it doesn't even need to be by design, just natural migration to and from areas. Loke the example of Idaho and Colorado. Dems will move to Colorado and repubs to Idaho. Both will remain under federal law, but each will have more localized law catering to their beliefs and ideals. It will just happen naturally.
