That's basically what I said, minus the infiltrator conspiracy part. The issue was Trump's plan to have Pence set aside legitimate EC votes or acknowledge his false ones. Not the riot.

I am sure you all discussed this at length previously but the Election Count Act recently passed was because the original 1887 Electoral Count Act was not clear and was open to interpretation. If it isn't unconstitutional, it is constitutional. Trump was doing what they all do. Use the murkiness of the law against itself. That is not insurrection at all.

Yes it is. He was trying to use that legal vagueness to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power and stay in power after he lost the election. That is a coup. The entire intent of the Electoral Count Act was to prevent that avenue of attack on our republic after it was done by the South in 1876 and clarify that the VP's role is purely ceremonial. It's just worded badly by our modern standards.

Didn't see this posted yet

Wow. this los angeles declaration is some serious bad crap.

Improve access to public and private services for all migrants, refugees, and stateless persons to promote their full social and economic inclusion in host communities”

More people on welfare, and not even citizens. 🤬

You talk in bumper stickers. There is no legal vagueness to a coup. That involves ILLEGAL activity. Using the VPOTUS role that is "vague" and currently acknowledged as so in the 1922 legislation....proves it was not a coup. The best proof of your point being nonsense is that it didn't happen and nothing WRT Pence's role, ceremonial or otherwise, actually happened. Trump did not force is plan at the end of a gun, with the military etc... THAT would be a coup. If you have to codify into law in 2022/23 that the role is ceremonial...it was clearly arguable prior to the new law...that it was NOT prior to then.

Big turnout for Trump expected for his rally next Saturday in SC. Could fill the entire 500 persons venue.
Lindsey will be his side. I am not sure about Tim Scott though because he may run for President. Trump should carry South Carolina without much problem even if their favorite son does run.

Trump still has Lindsey Graham.

The Facts are the GOP can not win in 2024 unless they are united. If Trump plays the destroy your fellow Republican game he will lose. And if he goes down that road DeSantis will also lose. DeSantis can not win without the moderate non conservatives that Trump supporters come from. The Independents, a few Democrats and moderate Republicans. He is too conservative for many of them so he needs as many as he can get.

Trump is not a conservative and did not govern as one when President. He would be a bigger spender than Biden if he had total control of the government. Plus he is VAX happy and I can see him making it mandatory for all his second term. He takes credit for Warp Speed and stuck with Fauci when he should have removed him and the scarf lady.

So Trump best back off of the destruction game if he wants to hold onto the conservative base of the party. There are not enough Independents For Trump left to give him a victory. He best wise up now. Florida has 29 electoral votes and the population is growing, he best not destroy the most popular governor the state has seen in a long time.
Trump has not and never would be vax mandatory. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Trump was not my first choice in the first primaries. My "hope" was for a non rino, non career politician, and a conservative. He rang enough bells that I eventually settled for him. I def wanted him over Hillary. I thought he did a pretty good job overall, so I also voted for him over bitem. 2024 is to far away to choose someone now, but I'm trying to keep my eyes wide open.
I think millions of his voters felt the same way. I know I did. I guess it today's world it is too much to ask to have a real conservative in the White House.

Oh Reallly, he pushed the VAX and allowed Fauci to run wild. Trump has proven he will sell out if he can get enough praise. That is what a Big Government, non conserative does. He invented Warp Speed vaccinations and was very proud of doing so.

Trump was a great POTUS who's undisciplined nature caused his problems. He just cannot run from even the smallest fight. He needed to allow his minions to fight those battles. The deep state was certainly going to go after him, or anyone else who they could not control. His mean tweets brought him down. Plain and simple. That was the margin. Suburban moms that didnt like his demeanor. Hopefully he still has time to show he has changed and learned. He can be a great POTUS once again....but its up to him.
So misguided. Trump didn’t lose because of mean tweets. He didn’t lose at all. Dems had nowhere near 81 million votes. Maybe 60 million.

He didn’t invent vaccinations. Quit being childish.

Total vote count is meaningless in our system. Bush v Gore... 500+ votes in Florida won that one. The Dems know that and harvested votes while we stupidly wait until election day to vote. We need to adopt their strategy and we can win those close races that win in 2024.

The entire point of the Electoral Count Act was to codify that into law in 1887 already. The legal vagueness you're referring to was asserted by y'all so you could accomplish the goal of disrupting the peaceful transfer of power, the law is clear. You say nothing happened because Pence refused to go along with it. What if he hadn't? And Trump did use force to try to get his way, that's what the entire Jan 6th riot was. A last-ditch effort to either pressure Pence into doing it or get him removed because of a security threat so Senate Pro Tempore Chuck Grassley could do it. They were chanting 'Hang Mike Pence!' not 'Protest peacefully!'

And what-if monkeys flew out of your butt. Didn't happen. Stop it with your projecting your sides wet dream of things that never happened.

He asked him to do it. I'm not positing some insane possibility here. All he had to do was say Yes instead of No. What would have happened then? You don't want to face what Trump literally tried to do.

Just what the globalist want

Dude....he didn't...and Trump didn't send in the 81st Airborne and secret police to make him do it. You guys and your Blue-annon conspiracy BS is out of control. Even if he said yes...it would have gone to the SCOTUS to decide and there would never have been a shot fired. A LEGAL route through the courts is the BEST you can come up with. That is why they just passed the law. A coup does not care about laws. Get a grip.

Dan Bongino described it similarly. He used the analogy of the Walking Dead...season 2 I think, where the group broke IN to a prison because the prison was safer than outside its walls. THAT is how the leftist elites want us to feel. That the free world is outside the prison walls and it is more dangerous than being inside their prison walls. You subjugate yourself and beg for their protection in their prison. Much much truth to that.

Yes he did. And no it wouldn't've. You have no idea how our government and Constitution work. SCOTUS isn't involved. Continue displaying your ignorance, it's entertaining.
