Looks like Trump started from a lower point, and under his leadership US oil production expanded significantly.
Biden comes in after that expansion, immediately shits on the US oil industry yet still gets to take advantage of Trumps policies.

Perhaps the oil market doesn't care about US production numbers or the supply. Instead the market could be focused on demand in places like Europe and China.

You posted US oil production numbers, and at $120 a barrel the US should be pumping oil out of every hole in the ground, definitely should be pumping more than when it was $60 a barrel, but we aren’t.

The US govt doesn't drill. It's up to oil companies to get more out of the ground and to market which is difficult in places like the Permian Basin and Bakken Shale. They have no incentive for another boom and bust oil cycle and would perhaps rather cut costs, keep production steady and have much more efficient businesses.
It was 19 cents a gallon when I was born and in some places rose more than that in 1 day. Yet the MSM and cable news keep beating the drum
The average American has no clue why gas prices are higher. They just watch Fox tell lies and then repeat them without a second thought. Supply/Demand due to war explanation doesn't keep the viewers angry and scared enough.
What's interesting about the oil market is Biden and others were able to convince OPEC+ to increase production by 600k barrels a day starting in July but can't seem to work with US drillers to do the same or more. Biden deserves heat for that aspect but as usual, the GQP doesn't know about it or is too stoopid to make the case. Not that 600k or 1200k makes a huge difference. Releasing 1 million barrels a day from the SPR did nada but maybe help reduce the deficit.
So by your logic.... Biden has full control of gas/consumer prices but is purposefully raising them to the highest levels possible in order to get Republicans to take over Congress due to unhappy voters???

Oil production is higher than under Trump. US government policy has almost zero to do with the high prices. It's a funny little thing called supply/demand due to the war in Ukraine.
