My maternal grandfather was a painter.....he also had several other things going on at the same time he worked a full time job.....three pool halls and a gum vending machine business.......he died from complications from surgury.........he was 87 yrs old........he worked at Parkmoor Billards at night after he retired and sold his businesses.........number one he loved the game of pool.......and he enjoyed working........he worked up till three days before his surgery...........he left a seven digit estate..........he had a third grade education......just because you see old folks working......don't assume they are doing so because they "have to"......a lot of them could buy and sell a lot of the people feeling sorry for them......

Just read where Bernie Moreno dropped out of the GOP primary race for Senate here in Ohio. after meeting with Trump the other day. Saw a ton of his commercials in the last 2-3 months....but I guess the $4 mill he spent out of his own pocket wasn't getting any traction.
Also stimulus money ran out and people had to go back to work.

Yet American politicians, technocrats, academics, and pundits argue, with increasing popularity, that Americans should look across the Atlantic for solutions to the nation’s problems, including on issues like health care, the welfare state, immigration, and a bloated bureaucracy.
By every economic and societal measure, the United States is more tolerant than Europe. It is more welcoming of immigrants, but also far more successful at assimilating them. Minorities do far better in United States. Our economy is dominant. Only one European company appears in top 10 corporate powerhouses in the world and only seven in the top 50. Americans make up nearly half of the list.
Americans are far more charitable and happier than Europeans. Our slightly lower life expectancy and our slightly higher infant mortality rate are not a result of substandard care, but a statistical misunderstanding based on the fact we treat every life as one worth saving.
Drive an hour outside of Paris and look at the slums and immigrants who've never been given the opportunity to assimilate or look at the slums they stuff all the Africans in outside the city. It's not like America where the inner city is where it's bad so you can't compare.

The US at one time had the best education system in the world...then the department of education was created and its been downhill ever since. Being critical of the Israeli state isn't antisemitic. It's actually antisemitic to assume so. The Jewish community is no more a monolith than any other demographic, in fact it skews to the left overall. The left just does not have the same problem with bigotry the right does. You can both sides many issues, like corruption and bad behavior, but all the racists are with you and Trump.
