To bad that prosecutor wasn't investigating his son, the entire EU was pushing Ukraine to remove him, the prosecutor, who was supposed to be weeding out corruption, was taking bribes from Russia and removed for corruption, the deputy prosecutor Kasko resigned because of how corrupt his boss was. the threat to withhold aid was made after Kaso resigned and detailed out how dirty the office was. By the time Biden was seen as going after the prosecutor he had already been suspended from investigations. The new prosecutor that took his place investigated the Burisma company for a year and filed charges against nobody. He re-opened the case earlier this year and once again found nothing and then was removed from office by the new President. But don't let any of that stop you from making shit narratives up.
Trump and Ghouliani have both admitted today that Trump did tell Ukraine he would withhold aid until Biden was investigated.

I'm 3x jabbed & caught it too. Same for DW. But we only got mildly ill - the point being we were of reduced risk of hospitalization. Call that/define as effective or don't believe that's effective. I think a significantly lower risk of hospitalization is effectiveness, but obviously could be better.

But, again, the CDC stated that the vaccine is ineffective against omicron. Because my symptoms were overall pretty mild, I'm assuming I caught that strain. If I hadn't been vaccinated, would I have experienced anything different? According to the CDC's own statement, no. If you and your wife both caught omicron, did the vaccine actually help? No way to know, of course, but the CDC's statement is pretty damning, imo.

Have you read recent articles where some of the most vaccinated countries across the globe are seeing the highest number of COVID cases ever? There are some (I don't know if they're experts or crackpots) opining that TAKING the vaccine has made people more susceptible to omicron, not less, based on the numbers and reports coming in just during the past few weeks. I thought and still think, the vaccine was a therapeutic for the original strain and, to a lesser extent, the Delta variant and, because of my belief, I thought it was in my best interest to take the first and 2nd shot. Not sure if the booster was worth it or actually did anything good. I don't know if it's much protection against the omicron. And, judging from all the talk back and forth, omicron doesn't seem to be very serious but to a very, very small percentage of people so maybe the government should stop with the black and white directions of 'everyone should get vaccinated' after they themselves admitted it's ineffective against the most common strain right now and concentrate more on effective treatments.

Gorsuch seems to be right leaning, Kavanaugh is looking more and more like a liberal, ACB is in the middle, Roberts is a liberal, and you have the 3 way left nuts in Breyer, Kagan and Sotomayor. What the GOP needs is for Roberts and Kavanaugh to retire the next time there is a GOP president and senate.

My mom tested positive today. They hardly go anywhere, have very few visitors, and both her and my dad are double vaxxed and boosted. Thankfully only very mild symptoms so far - she is 75 but has largely been very healthy her whole life so hopefully she doesn't get really sick.

I am unvaxxed and caught both the og and omicron. Had no issue with either. That's how anecdotes work.

As for omicron, the risk of hospitalization is so low across the board, a vaccine really has no impact.

Imo nearly every covid hospitalization right now is from Delta or are still there long term from delta.

I tested positive today myself*. Within the last couple of weeks so did my wife. And my parents. Any my sister. And her husband. It’s just everywhere.

None of us are vaccinated. None of us had had any major symptoms. Just tired, stuffy head and a little nausea at times. Everyone seems to be over it. I probably had it last week… just have some taste issues going on at the moment.

*I only tested because work wanted me to where my wife had it.
