97% of people entering hospitals as of July 16 with covid are unvaxxed with half of all people fully vaxxed and another 5% partially vaxxed, and 15% too young to vax & who don't go to hospital with it anyway. If vaxxing wasn't doing anything, I'd expect 100%-55%-15% = 30%/100%-15% = 30%/85% = 35% of hospital admissions to be of unvaxxed people. I find 97% vs. 35% compelling to say the vaxes do something +.
That still doesn’t take into account of unvaxxed/vaxxed who have already had Covid or unreported cases. And that’s only what has been reported to the CDC this far. We still have a ways to go to see what the numbers will be with new variants, which is the reason most people are hesitant to get a vaccine despite the media portraying them as pure anti-vaccine. Since hospitalizations only account for 1% of total covid cases and ages 65+ being the large majority of cases, with most under the age having multiple comorbidities, there’s no reason for myself to get the vaccine when I’ve already recovered from covid. However, if I was 60+ years old with underlying health issues I’d probably take it.

I heard a commercial on radio while outside working this morning....a doctor talking about a side effect of one of the vaccines they're pretty sure leads to steralization...wasn't paying a whole lot of attention at first. Then went on to say that it would be years to see how this would affect younger adults and children.
Of course it was commercial and his whole point was to come in and get tested.....guess they can do that with children.
First I've heard of it.

I don’t know about that but I have lost count of anecdotal stories from nurses and other in the health field who saw people a few weeks from vaccination who have miscarriages, stillborn babies, develop blood clots, suffer strokes and have other serious health issues in people and there’s no way to know if the vaccine contributed. I’ve already talked about my wife’s family who suffered a stroke a few weeks after being vaxxed and passed away in the hospital. I also have family who do medical coding from Dr notes and they’ve had several cases in elderly of hospitalization and death with Covid from patients who were vaxxed. It may be totally unrelated but it’s enough for me to take pause since I’m healthy.

My issue is t the recommendation of vaccination. My issue is elected leaders standing in front of cameras saying our pandemic is a pandemic of unvaccination and blaming those who aren’t when there’s zero proof of it. And honestly, no, we have no idea what would have happened if things were let be whether it was for better of worse. Just like we don’t know what it means for the future. It’s an unknown.
Not to mention the fact that Biden is ignoring the border which is flooding covid cases by the dozens every day, which gives the lie to his recommendation and claim that we have a pandemic of unvaccinated. He's a total charlatan and I won't do anything he says to do, and I'm safer and smarter to do so.

I've mentioned before that I have a nephew who is a doctor, and he's married to a doctor....another nephew who has a PHD and does medical/cancer research for big pharma. They read/study much more about this than I do, and some studies are not for public distribution. All three have not had the vax and recommend to family not to.

Regardless of percentages, "free" blacks owned 20K slaves of 4M or 0.5% around 1860. What makes the free blacks % so high is the minimal number of free blacks, not the large number of slaves they owned Also, whites in the North of course couldn't own any slaves, making whatever the black % was to be relatively higher than was truly possible for all USA whites. In slave states, like 20% of whites owned slave(s). And were those slave-owning blacks "free"; i.e., could they vote/serve on juries/hold office? Don't know.

So, you are basically admitting that, according to your own posts, you agree the covid death rate is about .5%?

Lol.

It takes serious statistical gymnastics for any organization to quantify that. Considering hospitalizations period, not deaths, only accounted for 1% of people infected with Covid in the first place, and X% of those vaccinated already recovered from Covid, there is no way to know the extend the vaccine prevents issues in people who have yet to have covid.

This statement from the CDC website contradicts itself.

“There is some evidence that vaccination may make illness less severe in people who get vaccinated but still get sick. Despite this, some fully vaccinated people will still be hospitalized and die. However, fully vaccinated people are much less likely to be hospitalized or die than people with similar risk factors who are not vaccinated.”

There is “some” evidence the illness will be less severe but then turns around and says “much less likely”. There is not enough data available to make his statement, but yet they do. If you want to get the vaccine, great. But don’t act like others who haven’t are for sure causing issues.
The mental gymnastics to blame people who are not sick for those getting sick is insane. Making healthy people cover their face with a mask is wild too.

None of this is logical.

WHERE'S BIDEN? 40 Border Patrol Agents test positive in TX

Seems like the biggest threat to this country is the illegal immigrants that are bringing this illness (along with drugs and criminal activity) with them and being placed throughout the country. Talk about a super spreader event.

I work in the auto industry make parts for variety customers, before Christmas break there wasn’t any news about possibly microchip shortage. Since after Christmas break only answer we gotten “microchip shortage” as our sales volume gone down and reduced labor. Is there something more going on in the auto industry? Like I mentioned there was hardly If not any mentions about chip shortage before Christmas 2020.

Don't know much about your industry or the state of Michigan...but I posted this a week or so back.
The 'she' is the Gov.

My brother was telling me this morning that a friend he knows who is from Michigan and in the know of a lot of things....was telling him that one reason why dealers can't get new cars is a direct result of a lot of what she did in shutting down businesses in Michigan. I guess not only the auto plants but more importantly all the suppliers (big and small) that produce items/products that go in the cars. Media blames it all on chips from China, but he said it's a lot more than that.

Same thing happened to a family friend’s relative. And to make it worse, he had just had a check up/screening and had no issues. Doctor told them off the record he is 99% sure it was linked to the vaccine, as he could find no other explanation.

we should be so fortunate to get a good anal swabbing. 10-15 anal probes a year would be liberating

We make truck grilles for gm flint and Fort Wayne. Fortunately we have customers like Toyota and Honda. Starting next week gm shut down or down to one shift. I was curious if it was chip shortage or there is more than to it than told.

The government has been pushing a LIE that covid is transmitted asymptomatically. That is just false. And it inflates the 'transmittability' of this virus to be greater than the flu. Not to mention how much they've inflated the so-called 'deadliness' of this virus. Everything they tell us is a lie, so why should we trust them?
I couldn’t agree more. I’m to the point that I don’t believe anything the government and media says. They scared the crap out of me and everyone else when this virus started. Oh it is so contagious, it can survive on surfaces for up to 3 days. BS! My brother had it and he didn’t know he had it. He thought he had a bad sinus infection. I went to visit him and spent the whole day with him talking to him with about 2 feet between us. I gave him a hug when I saw him. He called me the next day and said he tested positive. I was tested and it was negative. I will not be getting the jab. It’s hard to know what to believe. I’ll go by my experiences and gut feeling on what I should do, not by what the media and government tells me.

It's not just the auto industry being impacted by the chip shortage. Game console makers, HVAC equipment, computer manufacturers, home appliance makers, etc are all seeing similar shortages.

You have to be the dumbest POS on this board and that says a lot. What does soccer have to do with relatives that died in war? Not one ****ing thing. In America you are free to do whatever the **** you want, including not singing some song or worshipping a flag. And when you dominate like Rapinoe you can just laugh at losers like you crying on a message board.

You have an interesting way of speaking and turning a phrase. Is English your first language? I’m thinking possibly Chinese or Japanese.

It is legitimately chips, at least as far as GM is concerned. I know this because I spend 10+ hours a week on conference calls with the GM Command Center working on allocation plans for various plants (including ours) for chips from Renesas. Covid shutdowns in Malaysia are impacting their fab plants and there was a major fire in one of their plants in Japan that just added insult to injury.

There is a "build shy" process being looked at for almost every component using these chips (passenger occupancy sensors, memory modules, heat modules, etc.) to determine if they can run the vehicles offline and bypass certain calibration/testing processes and have the parts installed by the dealers after delivery just to keep production running.

We are running with a 2-3 day window of availability on parts because of it, with material literally being hand carried by couriers to our plant a couple times a week just to keep us running.

They don't expect the production/supply chain to recover until Q4 as of right now.
