The Braves looked like a t-ball team in the box yesterday. Kudos to Bauer and the rest of the Reds' staff...really neutralized Atlanta's big bats. Braves cannot have another game like that or the Reds will take advantage of it. Gotta wake up. That being said, is anyone else surprised they pitched to Freeman? I thought for sure they were going to walk him but I guess they preferred the L/L matchup.
Not really because there was only 1 out and Ozuna the hot righty bat was on deck and as you said lefty/lefty matchup with Garrett and Freeman. Plus a walk loads the bases and puts additional pressure on AG.

Right, but the only runner that matters is the one on third. I guess with Freeman and Ozuna it's a pick your poison type of scenario. Just thinking out loud.
I would have had Shogo in there over Winker. Winker has batted .100 over the last month while Shogo has been .300+ over the last month. Shogo has become an on base machine while Winker is ice cold.
Also you can't start Kyle Farmer in the playoffs over your every day SS who is a switch hitter. All of our big guns at the top of the order getting on base, then we have Farmer and Casali trying to knock them in at the bottom of the order...is anybody surprised that they don't knock them in? He's playing for the home run, when any runs will do.
