PF for next year

I liked Adou a lot. He doesn't fit Pope's system all that well, but I would gladly take him back. Because he gives you everything except 3pt shooting (defense, rebounding, driving, gets to the line).
He’s shooting s lot better from the perimeter this season even in Cal’s shitty system.

Good list but again considering how much (little) a percentage of Carr’s game his perimeter shooting has actually played here, and how successful he was for us when healthy, we absolutely need to throw this open and search for low-post punishers and glass cleaners, especially if they can play solid defense, without regard to whether they can hit the side of a barn from beyond seven feet.
These are some potential PFs that I posted a few days ago, and like you were saying I was focusing on rebounding, FG% as well as some 3pt. ability (and, of course, some like Toppin or maybe Murray-Boyles may choose to stay in the draft):

Jamichael Stillwell
Milwaukee Panthers
Junior
6' 8", 225 lbs
13.7pts/11.2rebs/1.0ast/48.3 FG%/ 56 FT%/36% 3pt.

Alvaro Folgueiras

Sophomore

13pts/9.8rebs/2.9ast/51.4 FG%/ 78.5 FT%/33.9% 3pt.

Rasheer Fleming
Saint Joseph's Hawks
Junior
6' 9", 240 lbs
15.9pts/9.3rebs/1.4ast/56.1 FG%/ 67.2 FT%/41.7% 3pt.

Paulius Murauskas
Saint Mary's Gaels
Sophomore
6' 8", 235 lbs
12.8pts/8.5rebs/1.9ast/46.0 FG%/ 75.4 FT%/32.2% 3pt.

JT Toppin
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Sophomore

Collin Murray-Boyles

Except Quaintance still can't shoot (FTs included). But he moves well for his size and rebounds pretty well. I don't think he's particularly known as a passer. He reminds me of Garrison in what he brings. I believe he would be considered more valuable as a C target. Because if he's worth no less than $2M as a PF option, then a player like Fleming that others have talked about here should go for $5M or more. Basically, I think there will be at least a dozen PF options in the portal you would want before ever getting to Quaintance. The caveat for me is Quaintance's age. He could certainly improve a lot in the next couple of years.
He is only 17 and can have 10+8 with three blocks, which is hugely impressive.

I think he will be a beast and produce 15+10 and be a lottery pick next year.

I think he is a taller version of Randle with better defence and less passing ability. Pope will adjust the plays if he comes here.

Do not think he will come here. He even did not give pope a chance to meet when decommiting

Yeah, as a Center target I can be with you and more excited about it. Again, his youth leads to projection which very well could translate to being a lottery pick. But being a lottery pick at the end of the season does nothing for me, as it would likely still be based largely on potential and moreover he would then be going to the NBA rather than returning to UK.

CMB, Fleming, and Toppin 100% to the draft .
They might not all stay in but it would be mid June until you know for sure.
We will need at least 4 portal addition.
Idk how much we are willing to spend per player.
We didn't go max on any of the guys we brought in last year.
I expect a few under the radar guys.

We lose Carr. And probably lose Almonor, unless NCAA changes to a "5 in 5" eligibility rule. And our chances at any PF recruits don't look good. Thus we will probably need to add 2 PFs from the portal this summer. So here are the top potential transfer portal players, again assuming no change to 5 seasons in 5 years ruling (these stats are about a week old):

Bailey, 6'10-230 Davidson, 19.4, 6.7, 3.7a, 50% 3pt
Noel, 6'8-240 Wright St, 18.4, 7.5, 35% 3pt (37% career)
Banks, 6'8-210 Tulane, 17.9, 7.5, 36% 3pt, 2.1 stocks
Rataj, 6'9-220, Oregon St, 17.3, 8.3, 2.5a, 37% 3pt, 2.8 stocks
Fleming, 6'9-240 St. Joe's, 16.1, 9.3, 41% 3pt, 3.1 stocks
Durkin (Soph), 6'7-220 Davidson, 15.9, 5.8, 2.2a, 45% 3pt, 1.4 stl
Williams, 6'6-225 Texas Tech, 15.6, 5.6, 4.7a, 36% 3pt (39% career), 1.7 stocks
Sydnor (Fr), 6'8-210 Manhattan, 15.0, 6.6, 39% 3pt, 2.1 stocks
Pierre, 6'9-210 Belmont, 13.8, 6.8, 3.9a, 38% 3pt
Watts (Soph), 6'6-233 Wash St, 13.8, 7.9, 4.0a, 35% 3pt (40% last yr)
Evans, 6'8-215 Bryant, 13.5, 7.3, 2.6a, 37% 3pt
Erikstrup, 6'11-226 Wash St, 12.7, 4.6, 40% 3pt
Lawal, 6'8-215 Va Tech, 12.4, 6.5, 47% 3pt
Saunders, 6'8-225 UVA, 12.1, 5.4, 38% 3pt

(stocks = Stl + Blk)

If I had my choice, I would probably pick Fleming (if he has decent quickness to defend) and then one of the Sophs or Fr (so maybe Durkin) that could be around for more than 1 year.
Having a 4 that you can trust to get a post basket is at the top of my list with rebounding

Collin Murray-Boyles
South Carolina Gamecocks
Sophomore
6' 7", 245 lbs
15.3pts/8.9rebs/2.3ast/60.1 FG%/ 67.3 FT%/31.3% 3pt.

Murray-Boyles is an interesting one. I like the effort, he puts it all out on the court. I was surprised by the 6'7, I really thought he was 6'9 or 6'10. I was wondering a few days ago (watching USC play) if after 2 years there, even though he is from Columbia, if he would be tired of losing and willing to leave. But also, I'm not sure he has the quickness to guard perimeter players, but his 2.9 stocks is very good (1.3blk & 1.6stl). But I do like him.

Not true. He's actually shot worse.

FR: 33% (but just 9 attempts)
Soph: 32% (22 attempts)
JR (Ark): 23% (31 attempts)
It seemed like he was earlier in the year. Granted I haven’t watched them much in SEC play must have dropped off. He looks like a much more complete player now. He’s had 2 different stretches where he went 0-1, 0-2 5 games in a row. He has not attempted more than 2 in any game since the first 3 games of the year though. He was 6/22 before SEC play started. Not much better but closer to his average.

he is probably going to be pro. Has late first round and early second round prospect now.

Do not think we will 100% recruit a PF with three shooting ability, PF can produce in other ways and Pope can adjust the plays based on players. So the potential candidate should be wider than lists from other posts

I wasn't aware that he was from SC. That's a good point that may lessen his desire to enter the transfer portal (if he doesn't stay in the draft). We're all aware of the various reason for entering the portal, not the least of which is $$$$ (and only a hypocritical coach could really complain about that reason alone), but no way for us (me anyway) to predict who will and won't be willing to transfer or honestly whether a Power Conference program like SC has the NIL budget and willingness to keep a guy.

He's good. If he doesn't go pro, Fleming will probably get plenty of offers to transfer, but sounds like he's staying there.
That's not what it really sounded like to me, SC. I think he was referring to why he came back this year. But What I was picking up was him starting to lay some groundwork for NIL being a reason he would have to consider a transfer after this season.
