The nature of football recruiting is just a beast. Lines get crossed and feelings get hurt every year. I dont understand why petrino matters so much to uk fans. He's getting the Damien Harris treatment from you guys lol.

Not sure why you care about UK so much that you register to post on a UK message board.

Nice try at trying to be significant.....check the National attention sis.

To summarize our guests posts: We don't care how you do it, just win baby. Right, bruh? One thing for sure, the UL fans have the perfect AD for them. Also the perfect recruiter, before hurtt was exposed.

Some excerpts from his posts:

"I agree with everyone against this move. It was a sucker ass thing to do but what ppl need to realize is the schooly was still there. The kid would just have to delay his col lege admission by four months."

So you agree it was a sucker ass thing to do but you are over here trying to defend it. Just shows what your priorities are. And it wouldn't have just delayed his college admission for four months, it would have delayed his life for four months, at least, when he was probably looking at being in college at least five years as it was.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I dont like it but its all about money and winning now rather than later. A good season next year and all will be forgotten."

I agree with you, especially at some city colleges, and UL is certainly way ahead of almost everyone else in that race, don't you agree? Rewarding the adulterer and abortionist with a big raise instead of firing the POS influence on young impressionable men is an example. Hiring the recruiter that was a TERRIBLE influence on the young recruits at the U that both jurich and Strong (especially Strong, recruiting against him in the same state) had to know something about another example. Everyone knows how he "earned" the NROTY award at the U, known for cheating, in the middle of the beaches and all that talent and with the football tradition, how in hell did he do it at a down and out program like UL? The answer is probably the same way, but the incompetent joke of an NCAA stubbed their toe so bad there they just wanted to crawl in a hole and hide.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Maybe Stoops should go after the kid. He fits a need for you all and he is a solid back."

Maybe a good idea a few years ago, but we are past taking UL's rejects now, even though he didn't deserve to be rejected by UL, they also made a commitment to him, IMO. We have a RB joining the draft, two four stars and a proven near four star returning, and although he may be rated lower I think the staff knows how to evaluate talent and have found a very valuable addition in our latest RB, very excited about what he can do in space AND he doesn't give up easy.

"How is petrino being exposed when everyone knew he's been a asshole for almost a decade."

And all of the UL fans seem fine with that kind of character teaching young men life lessons------but then coming after hurtt, he could have been an upgrade, LOL. And then, of course, there is Pitino.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"All and all i wish the kid nothing but good luck."

Right. Now get the hell out of here, kid, and don't be calling attention to what kind of program jurich (and his hand picked coaches, so far so good, wonder when the chit will hit the fan again? He missed on his hand picked Willie though) runs.

"Alot of ppl on this very board lobbied for petrino after joker was let go though but we're not going to get into that topic."

AND a lot of them lobbied against him, and I spent a lot of time on it. That asshole and piece of****human being (who said those things anyway, oh yeah, it was YOU) had no business on a STATE UNIVERSITIES campus IMO, and it wasn't about to happen, regardless of a few ignorant win at all cost fans, every fan base has a few of them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Everybody know petrino is a piece of **** human being but when it comes to coaching stoops is a newborn compared to petrino and you all know it."

LOL, I couldn't agree more with your assessment, just don't understand how a fan could like their school being represented by someone like that. I still think he should have gone to jail in Arkansas, and certainly should have his intelligence questioned for riding around on an open bike with a beautiful babe hanging onto his waist (guess that is what she was holding) when everyone in the state knew him AND he knew he had a PILE OF SKELETONS in his closet, so to speak.

So Stoops, with his turning two programs defense around and sending all those players to the NFL, is a newborn------well, he is only a two year old as a head coach, but don't you think two year olds learn faster than someone that has been in the business (SEVERAL places) for a long time? Two ways to look at it.

But congrats, pretty accurate assessment of the man in the opening Just win baby.

"I agree with everyone against this move. It was a sucker ass thing to do."

But here you are, over on our board, "trying" (not convinced anyone so far, try your own board, UL fans must be very gullible) to defend it. LOL

Oh, and while you are over there repeat your assessment of BP and see how long it takes you to get banned. Funny thing is, I have never been banned there-----because I never go there, tempted to sometimes though, but I'm sure the name alone would set off alarm bells, LOL.

OK, wasted enough time, just go away.

lockdown your an idiot.....did you not see where scumbag and the tcu kid both said the tards where recruiting him for almost a year. now that means your saintly coach must have called as soon as he got word he was kicked off the tcu team. now that is class. ahhh the school of 2nd chances....what is the motto at thug u....as long as it didn't happen in Louisville then it didn't happen. they usually place their team in 2 lines, murder rape and robbery on the left, everybody else on the right. now everyone on the left is captain material, everybody on the right you need to upgrade your misdemeanors to get in the line on the left. now go back to Howie and tell that fat donut muncher how much we mistreated you. nobody believes your excuses just like the rest of you tard buddies.

Can't stand Petrino, and I'm glad he's being called out for this, but it sure seems like Saban and Fisher are getting a pass here. Both asked committed kids to grayshirt at the last minute.
Agree. I can't stand Petrino but Saban asked Christian Bell to grayshirt 3 days for NSD. The only difference is that Bell was okay with it. Saban also recently took a defensive lineman who had been kicked off Georgia for an ugly domestic violence incident. Of course, Louisville was interested in him too, although they will claim now that they weren't. It's time Saban quits getting a pass. A guy from bleacher report was on the Finebaum show Tuesday and gushed about Saban (called him the ultimate father figure) and even gushed about Saban's wife. I had to turn it off it was so sickening. Watching the Finebaum show is like listening to UofL talk radio. I guess the ultimate father figure recruits an accused felon for domestic violence to his campus.
Saban also asked a kid from Georgia who had been committed to Bama since summer of 13 to accept a grayshirt this year, kid didn't do it and ended up signing with Kansas State and has not been there yet. Now the guy he took from beating up his girlfriend after Richt kicked him off still has a couple of FELONY domestic charges that has to be cleared up. His story is she pushed him and he defended himself, she was a big girl and he is only 6'5" 335, so I guess he was afraid of her. They will more than likely get plea bargained down, but Saban isn't giving him a 2nd chance. He was one of the guys who tried to cash his pell grant check twice. But Saban does the grayshirt thing every year, he depends on them not accepting one and signing elsewhere because they were his throw away recruits. If this kid stays with Bama and forces Saban's hand about the grayshirt it will be interesting to see if its still available, afterall, a new set of 16 recruits will be waiting.

It was all the rage by posters on this board to say that Petrino was a changed man during the UK coaching search because they wanted him , clearly he hasn't changed .

Old Blob Petrine. Or is it Petino. Either was the both represent the best U of L has to offer. Both guys are Scumbags, What did Turtleneck Tom think he was getting? IMO, it all starts at the top

I know that there is a few recruits out there that honor their commits but the truth is most are just waiting for their next best offer to flip. In this atmosphere I will not get too excited if a school lifts an offer from some recruits if they find better ones to replace them. Verbal commitments have just about become a joke and are not worth the paper that they are not written on.
Think about if it was your son. He gets an offer from a P5 school. He gets commits and gets excited, buys a few hoodies and tells the world, etc... Then right before signing day, in the second semester of his senior year, he is told that he no longer has a scholarship and has to find a new school.

That scenario is ok with you because a small percentage of high school kids flip late in the recruiting season?
I am one that thinks a commitment should be a commitment and not just a thing of convenience. This holds true for both parties. If you are only committing if you don't receive an offer from such and such you should make that clear when you commit . A school should tell recruits they might be asked to grey shirt if that is a possibility. Get the picture both parties in this game are guilty of deception. Neither should commit if there is doubt.

You notice that I called it a game. That is what it has become a game of amusement for recruits. This is serious business for the schools but it has become a source of amusement for the top recruits I don't seriously know what can be done to clean this BS up but I think an earlier signing period would be a good start. It would not be a complete solution but at least schools would know the ones that were truly interested in signing with them from those just playing the game.

You say but kids would just wait to sign. I say wait a minute not so.. Most kids would not take the chance of missing out on going to the school they really wanted to attend.
You need to lobby your Senators then, because that is not the rules. Everyone is just using the word "commitment" wrong. In this case, it does not mean what it normally means. Get over it and move on everyone.
