I posted on the Paddock but hadn't much input, as engagement level is pretty low over there. I'm adding to RRs to hopefully get more insights for myself and other future posters who are looking at attending other UK sports outside of Men's Basketball and Football.

I am taking my daughter to her (and my) first UK volleyball game next weekend for senior night at Memorial. Any tips or suggestions to make this a great experience for her?

We've been to a handful of Men's Basketball games and always enjoy those, especially going courtside for the postgame. For anyone who has attended VB at Memorial.. anything good to share?

Well it's a brand new place now. that in itself should be a exciting look forward. The team is good also.

You’ll enjoy it. UK is a national power and a recent national champ. Young team but they are in first place in the SEC by only 1 game so they will be playing. Really have improved.

I enjoy watching them. My wife played so I have become a fan. Great coach in Craig Skinner. He’s fearless with his early scheduling. Took a few Ls early but nobody’s surprising them now.

Move down to lower seats if they aren’t occupied. You will be shocked at the speed and team work.

UK has a few potential AAs on the squad and are building another title team. I think they start 1 senior? They have a chance this year to advance a long way.

Enjoy it

Agree with all this. They are fun to watch and you definitely can keep an eye open to move down to lower seats near mid court after the natch has gotten underway. Maybe wait to halfway through 1st set so late comers are settled in. Might be able to see if you can get her down near floor to meet players, or watch, during pre-game warm-ups. Look for mini volleyballs being thrown into stands during player introductions. Coliseum is beautiful now with renovation. We have season tickets and this team is starting to play their best ball so you should be in for a treat. Yell a lot and have fun. Action is fast and quick.
