OT: Louisville @ Notre Dame

Nobody vanished lol, and do you really believe that was the 6th best team in the country? Them and Missouri were given the annual early season SEC rankings bump.
The SEC bump? Anybody who knows even a little about college football could watch yesterday's games and understand the vast gulf in quality between the SEC and the ACC. That's why it wasn't really a surprise last year when unranked Kentucky beat the embarrassingly over-ranked #10 Louisville on your home field. The "bump" in rankings is for teams like Louisville that play in a joke conference. Little Brother would not win three conference games in the SEC -- not this year, not last year and not any year.

It's true that Ole Miss benefited from a bad early schedule (a concept that should be familiar to you). But, the SEC has earned the benefit of the doubt. It's not a one trick pony like some other conferences, it has multiple powerhouses that have won titles, it routinely beats teams from other conferences in bowl games and OOC tilts, and the depth of recruiting in our conference is insane. We usually have 10-12 members in the top 25 recruiting rankings, so the talent here is no joke.

Ole Miss may not be a top 6 team, but they'd win the ACC without a lot of trouble. They might be lucky to finish in the top half of the SEC.

UL got the same for beating tomato cans this season.

Hell, we got a top 10 road win credited to us last year and we all know UL wasn't number 9 or close to it. It still counts though as a top 10 won, as does ole miss.

I watched one play of the uofl game...qb broke open a 40 yard run...then fumbled.

Guy I was out with is a Michigan fan, and he said "that's why your louisville" at the TV

Notre dame is garbage...that job will be open soon. And uofl is garbage, they just can't come to terms with they play in a garbage conference and get their hopes up with a false sense of success.

Just like when they thought they were a national championship team when Lamar was there...nope, garbage conference, and everyone in the country knew Lamar was the only thing making a turd look decent.

Inevitably in the coming weeks we'll hear from them how smu and Stanford are actually powerhouses and how they're marquee wins or they were cheated in losses

Tell your friend that it’s you’re, not your. As for Notre Dame, they aren’t a top ten team this season, but far from garbage. 4-1 with two ranked wins.

Have you seen their schedule? Other than at usc, hard to see a 2nd loss. Even if they lose to usc don't be surprised if they sneak into playoff with the 10 or 11 seed.

They had a 6 next to their name Saturday. What rank does that make them when we played? Sure looked like a 6.

Listening to local radio since I am in Louisville.......The number one thing STILL talking about this morning is how bad the officiating was for Louisville. Also Louisville beat its self did not lose. Notre Dame needed the game more than Louisville etc etc.

One of the host said Louisville QB has Patrick Mahomes flashes hahaha

They can't deal with losing. For whatever reason, they have in their mind that are an ELITE football program, yet they have lost 5 STRAIGHT to Kentucky

ND did need that win more than UL. UL is still in the ACC hunt and, therefore, still in the hunt for the 12. ND is likely out of the 12 conversation if UL wins. ND is overrated, IMO. That Northern Illinois loss at home maybe the worst loss of all top 25 teams. In fact, it should exclude them from the Top 25, but they were preseason ranked and beat TAMU. IMO, TAMU does not deserve to be in the Top 25.

UL has not beaten anyone. Until they do, their ranking is suspect. TAMU’s ranking is likewise suspect. I suspect TAMU will not be ranked after they play Missou and LSU.

I love how everybody is calling them UL. As I recall, they get triggered when you don't put the "of" in there for some reason. I like to call them uavel (all lower case).

If Notre Dame, U of L, Al Quida, Russia, China, North Korea and James Franklin ever establish a collegiate football conference, I'll be seated between Dennis Rodman and a fat Asian guy with a piss poor haircut waiving a North Korean Flag.

Are you the one that called the KSR postgame show on Saturday with that exact same quote?

They weren't given early season "sec bumps"...they both won ny6 bowls last year.

But don't forget you're the guy that claimed nc state was actually a big time program that could compete head on in the sec....then uk beat them in a bowl and you got quiet about it. Lol

Again, if Pitt can make it to your conference championship...ever. youre a garbage league

Bowl games are meaningless because of opt outs. FSU had 3 normal starters play against Georgia last January, is that what you’re basing this on?

Of course I do, do you follow football outside of the SEC? I know a lot of Kentucky fans are Kentucky basketball fans and SEC football fans. I don’t get the love you have for wanting Georgia and Alabama to win games?

You are a hypocrite. Sitting in this thread defending FSU in its bowl loss and then acting like it is weird that SEC fans want SEC teams to beat teams from other conferences. WHEN the ACC was a basketball power conference, UL fans touted that all of the time and how difficult conference play was for the teams in the ACC. UL fans loved that reputation. The reputation of the SEC helps UK recruit. You don’t seem to truly follow football.

If UL has a schedule full of South Carolina caliber teams, list them for us.

Always over here looking for validation. 😂😂😂
The lack of self-awareness most ul fans have continues.
Never change little brother never change….

Georgia tech, SMU, BC, Pitt, they are all as good, if not better than South Carolina. That’s not even counting Clemson, Notre Dame, and Miami, all of which are better teams.

Georgia Tech? You mean the team that has yet to beat a team with a winning record 4-5 games into the season? That Georgia Tech? The team that lost to a Syracuse team that almost lost at home to Ohio?

The same BC that barely beat WKU?

Pitt? A weak schedule does not make a good team. You should know that by now. It’s why UL lost its last three games last year.

If SMU is as good as South Carolina, you better buckle up. I hope you are right about SMU. You should feel lucky to get them at home.

I like how you included James Franklin. There is no way I will ever like that guy, regardless of who he is coaching for.

Not sure if SMU is as good as South Carolina, but thanks to @rockycard, I picked SMU to win. :)
