The Ziegler/Wagner matchup is going to fun!Yeah I don't really get all the UT hype. Yes, they got a few key guys back but also lost a few guys. Not sure there are enough new pieces to move the dial significantly from last year.

They weren't even that good last year.Yeah I don't really get all the UT hype. Yes, they got a few key guys back but also lost a few guys. Not sure there are enough new pieces to move the dial significantly from last year.
exactly. Yeah its sooo cool for schools to make money off kids and the kids see none of it.Piss of dude, this is capitalism. If you do t like it, move to Cuba. They need ACs down there too.
Bahahahaha it's so funny listening to all this. A month ago everyone was on suicide watch now Tennessee sucks and we are going to win another title. Tennessee and Kentucky will both be good and tournament teams after that it's anyone's guess.Yeah I don't really get all the UT hype. Yes, they got a few key guys back but also lost a few guys. UT isn't going to suck. I'm sure they'll be good again. But, there's a lot of hype around them that I don't understand. ESPN has them at 6 in their pre-season rankings. I just don't get that at all given how they performed last year and their projected lineup this year.Bahahahaha it's so funny listening to all this. KSR said Arkansas or Bama.
They have a guy who I think is going to be tough down low. Tobe Awaka.Tennessee is vastly overrated unless they've gotten immensely better on defense to make up for the putrid offensive players they have.
Vescovi- can't shoot but can be decently streaky.
JJJ- see above
Zakai Zeigler- can't shoot but is quick as can be. struggles to finish at the basket
Jordan Gainey, not a very good season shooting the ball last year against trash competition. He did shoot well from 3 the year before.
Dalton Knecht might end up being a good player, but his stats were accumulated mostly against trash competition. Sense a theme?
Who are their bigs? Aidoo? He's alright. Nothing special. Excuse me if I don't see them as being a real threat. They'll win some games because of defense, but they are not a scary offensive team.

Guess it’s a good thing we didn’t get that dude, Cal has had a good eye for most nonsense excluding Sharpe and the Dragon. Wheeler kinda turned into it late in the year because of PT.Zags reporting Ledlum just entered the portal AGAIN. This is getting silly.
Most people are in the wrong business. You have to be an athlete or a criminal to make easy money. I mean the demand is there in the market so you can’t hate too much for it but be thankful you have worked hard and have a great retirement ahead of you. Social Media Influencers are the worst to me. Paid Bucketloads to do some of the dumbest things. Lots of fakers on there raking in cash. This NIL situation is killing the game in so many ways. I’m 63 and worked all my life. I’ve owned my own HVAC business for 35 years. I’m personally worth around 6 million and I’ve worked dog bone hard for everything I have. It REALLY bothers me that these kids are coming out of high schools having proven absolutely NOTHING yet and are being paid hundreds of thousands or even millions on nothing more than potential. These children will be riding Mersades, Porsche and Corvettes or even be chauffeured to classes and practice. Could you imagine if Skal would have been eligible for NIL money. What an injustice that would have been. Think of all the top talent that was a bust here at UK that would have been paid what the average person in society takes a life time to accumulate. In addition, the kids will never really understand what real success is after it has been handed to them without them earning a penny of it. Jamal Mashburn is the perfect example of how all this should work. He EARNED a scholarship at UK. Worked his ass off on the court proving himself and EARNED a place in the pro ranks. Then when he retired, he invested in several business that were all successful. If you look up the word Success in the dictionary you would find a picture of Mashburn next to the word. NIL is and injustice all the way around. In short, I find myself disliking today’s players as unentitled brats and find myself appreciating the older players that EARNED it. Most people like YOU have worked hard all your lives, and barely make ends meet. These teenagers are getting more than you will ever see doing absolutely NOTHING for it.
I have a feeling pretty soon the Government will get their greasy hands on it and really change the landscape. Players will start having contracts to meet incentives to be paid large amounts unless it’s basically booster money to get them in the first place. It’s just the way we’ve gone as a culture. We’ve placed a large emphasis on entertainment, so celebrities and athletes get paid absurd amounts of money. College sports is just another big entertainment business, and everyone wants their piece. As long as people are willing to doll out the big bucks to unproven athletes, nothing will change. It is what is right now.
💯 being able to just leave this late is insane. Walk on or not, he should have to wait a year now. What a freaking joke. Was he considering those schools on first go around?
Sorry not sorry but if you transfer to a school in May barring a coach leaving you shouldn't be allowed to leave the school you transferred to.
I don't care if he is a grad transfer on his 5th degree....doesnt matter. You make your bed, you lie in it.
They are exactly like Virginia. Their defense will win games in the regular season and get them a decent record, but in the tourney it’s their downfall. Because they don’t score a lot teams stay in games longer and the longer you let a inferior team stay in the game the more confident you get and eventually they win. Tennessee will be what they usually are 22-24 wins and really good defensively but lose first weekend like Barnes usually does. Side note vote vescovi has already flopped and cried to the refs about a callTennessee is vastly overrated unless they've gotten immensely better on defense to make up for the putrid offensive players they have.

He should have to sit out a year. If he gets to play straight away it’s indisputably over.
No, you piss off. This isn't what college athletics is about. It's what it is becoming but it's not what it is about. People who are okay with this crap are the worst.Piss of dude, this is capitalism. If you do t like it, move to Cuba. They need ACs down there too.
Capitalism, as far as college athletics goes, means you get your degree so that you can get out in the real world and make money with a job. Or if you leave school early maybe some opportunity has struck. This "bout muh NIL" stuff is killing college athletics.Dude, that is literally the definition of socialism. A body of people determining what a job is worth not the market. And btw, your generation is paying them. How many young guys own collectives and NBA teams? Literally, everything you’ve said is demonstrably false. It’s clear you are a Bernie bro.
Why?
That’s not capitalism. Not in anyway shape or form. That’s oligarchy or socialism depending who makes the rules. You can’t say I want capitalism for everyone but basketball players. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my life.Capitalism, as far as college athletics goes, means you get your degree so that you can get out in the real world and make money with a job.
