exactly. Yeah its sooo cool for schools to make money off kids and the kids see none of it.
Bahahahaha it's so funny listening to all this. A month ago everyone was on suicide watch now Tennessee sucks and we are going to win another title. Tennessee and Kentucky will both be good and tournament teams after that it's anyone's guess.
Tennessee is vastly overrated unless they've gotten immensely better on defense to make up for the putrid offensive players they have.
Vescovi- can't shoot but can be decently streaky.
JJJ- see above
Zakai Zeigler- can't shoot but is quick as can be. struggles to finish at the basket
Jordan Gainey, not a very good season shooting the ball last year against trash competition. He did shoot well from 3 the year before.
Dalton Knecht might end up being a good player, but his stats were accumulated mostly against trash competition. Sense a theme?
Who are their bigs? Aidoo? He's alright. Nothing special. Excuse me if I don't see them as being a real threat. They'll win some games because of defense, but they are not a scary offensive team.

UT isn't going to suck. I'm sure they'll be good again. But, there's a lot of hype around them that I don't understand. ESPN has them at 6 in their pre-season rankings. I just don't get that at all given how they performed last year and their projected lineup this year.

Sorry not sorry but if you transfer to a school in May barring a coach leaving you shouldn't be allowed to leave the school you transferred to.

Im sure theyll be a good team. I just dont buy them as a national title contender unless they've drastically upgraded their shooting. If they shoot it well then they play good enough defense to beat just about anyone. Those guys have been around long enough though that their shooting isn't likely to improve enough.
Guess it’s a good thing we didn’t get that dude, Cal has had a good eye for most nonsense excluding Sharpe and the Dragon. Wheeler kinda turned into it late in the year because of PT.
Most people are in the wrong business. You have to be an athlete or a criminal to make easy money. I mean the demand is there in the market so you can’t hate too much for it but be thankful you have worked hard and have a great retirement ahead of you. Social Media Influencers are the worst to me. Paid Bucketloads to do some of the dumbest things. Lots of fakers on there raking in cash.
I have a feeling pretty soon the Government will get their greasy hands on it and really change the landscape. Players will start having contracts to meet incentives to be paid large amounts unless it’s basically booster money to get them in the first place.

They are exactly like Virginia. Their defense will win games in the regular season and get them a decent record, but in the tourney it’s their downfall. Because they don’t score a lot teams stay in games longer and the longer you let a inferior team stay in the game the more confident you get and eventually they win. Tennessee will be what they usually are 22-24 wins and really good defensively but lose first weekend like Barnes usually does. Side note vote vescovi has already flopped and cried to the refs about a call
No, you piss off. This isn't what college athletics is about. It's what it is becoming but it's not what it is about. People who are okay with this crap are the worst.
Capitalism, as far as college athletics goes, means you get your degree so that you can get out in the real world and make money with a job. Or if you leave school early maybe some opportunity has struck. This "bout muh NIL" stuff is killing college athletics.
The coaches should have some semblance of continuity over the course of a season. You have to be able to build a roster and know who is going to be there from game to game. Can you imagine if pros just switched teams whenever they wanted with no formal structure in place? I think there should be a disincentive in place to prevent it from happening.
That’s not capitalism. Not in anyway shape or form. That’s oligarchy or socialism depending who makes the rules. You can’t say I want capitalism for everyone but basketball players. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my life.
