Was told the probable reason the Kentucky guys have performed above expectations so early in their career is that Pope has been keeping them around after practice and really drilling them both physically and mentally....making sure they know the offense inside and out having them get physically bumped, etc. so they become accustomed to the physicality of the college game

Good to hear, and it’s paying off. I can see both of them having great careers here. I already think both are able to give good minutes now. In the future I can see Noah really being good because of his size. Perry if he continues to develop some combo guard skills could as well. Both of them can shoot it.
 
Speaking of Brea with respect to the OP, Pope recently talked about a key adjustment they made to his game. Called it "digging in" where that first aggressive step puts them on your hip, and you accelerate from there to keep them in the disadvantage state rather than allowing them to catch up and regain defensive position. It's a little thing, but it made bigtime gains in his last game.
