There was yesterday a thread posted about D'Anfernee McGriff and Kentucky's chances in that recruitment. He's obviously a freak athlete and last year, as a Class of 2015 recruit at Tallahassee (Fla.) Leon, was a 6-foot-3, 225-pound athlete who signed a letter of intent with Florida but didn't qualify.
I've run the situation through some 'background checks' to get a read on where things stand and how likely it is that he might pick the Cats.
I can confirm with some confidence that it is possible that Kentucky becomes a destination but right now it is not as simple as whether McGriff would pick Kentucky. Without knowing all the details I don't think it's been made entirely clear on UK's end whether they would be able to take him. Not sure if that's related to class numbers (or more likely), grades or credits.
Talented kid, situation worth following, but as of right now I wouldn't yet put it in the category of 'likely' so much as needing more information.
