On just a real serious note

Santa comes tonight for our little guy as my wife is an ER Nurse and works Christmas Day. Waiting for him to fall asleep so I can make the magic happen. This is probably his last year of “Santa” as he’s 9.

Merry early Christmas from Bloomington, IL everyone!

Anyone else work somewhere that "Merry Xmas" can't be said? I do. We have Muslims here who get their knickers in a bunch anytime someone talks about Jesus, Christ or says God. At the team meeting the oh so politically correct supervisor said "Happy Holidays". Then someone else found a way to say over the mic "Merry Xmas!". You should have seen the look on the supervisor's face as she scanned the crowd for reactions that she could investigate.

Edit: to be clear, I say "Merry Christmas (as in Christ)", but I'm okay with it being spelled either way because of the "X".

I'm not big into it anymore as an adult as it drains the bank account but put on a smile for the kid.

Enjoyed Crossroads ( Oakley mother ship location ) for an hours delight last night - any Nky peeps JUST GO .. so much talent and innovation laser beamed at highlighting the gift of Christmas , the light of the world , Jesus .
A mini symphony, the best voices in all the world , 1000s of candles . A 9 year old reading Isiah in front of 5-6k people . How they get so in an hour is something else — 3 services today - GO , at least go experience Jesus somewhere .

I agree. I just can't do it. Merry Christmas to all. Jesus is the Reason for the Season ! ! !

Hoping all have a Merry Christmas! If you do not do Christmas have a great day! I for one know this time of year is about Jesus. Yes there is debate about the Christian Church stealing the holiday from Pagans. Does not matter why we choose to celebrate the birth of Jesus. It is what it means for me and I am sure others celebrate for other reasons. The world is a big place and has room for each to celebrate this time of year as they see fit. Love and peace to all of you here.

Well, I think it does matter. There’s an agenda behind it that wants to shove secular humanism down our throats. Agreed that the reason for the season deserves the emphasis

I never understood why so many let a few dictate what they do.

I don’t like the term Xmas because it x’s out the most important part, which is Christ. Merry Christmas everyone!

The X stands for Christ. It's from the Greek letter X (Chi) short for Christos. Christians have been using this abbreviation for literally hundreds of years.
