OLine has allowed TWENTYFIVE sacks. Most in SEC since 2007.

So, for the record, this is worse than when we basically had unranked and 2 star linemen, right? So what does that tell you? It ain't all Yenser, but it's certainly a lot.

I'd argue our entire offensive scheme needs a dramatic overview, ASAP.

It seems like we are playing for next year with a QB that will be in the league next year. I don't understand at all. I get that there is a lot of young talent, but why not adjust the scheme to get wins now? What am I even watching? This is so frustrating as a fan.

Stoops only cares about the NFL? 😂. Jk.

It's not on Sheron. Levis has been sacked more times than any previous QB. This is on the offensive line recruiters... recruit better or move on.

I guarantee damn tee you that if Schlarman was coaching our starting 5 we would have fewer issues. Still, the OC dictates what schemes the line runs and the line coach has to make technique work within that scheme. I'm not convinced our guys can handle this scheme because about 2/3 of our sacks on the season were missed assignments.

I don't mean that. I mean it seems like Scang is dedicated to his scheme, even though it isn't working best for the personnel currently, and he is willing to take L's while the young talent learns it and gets comfortable.

Accountable for CRod making a bad play on the first play of the game. Things like that?

Ed, the TE couldn't block a damn backup safety on that play. Like, you know that play is coming from a week ago when the OC puts in his script and all you have to do is block the one guy who you've probably got 30 pounds and 5 inches on and, that was the result?

Even still, why are you making a down hill runner handle the ball (especially with his fumble woes) to start the game? That's Shannon Dawson football and I thought we were past that.

And all he had to do was tuck the ball and not pitch it. He’s a senior.

And you make excuses for bad performances. That’s getting old.

And I bash players? Who took a shot at a kid making his first start tonight? Look in a mirror Ed.
I thought you just hated the basketball team but I see you are and equal opportunity hater.

Lo fraking L. How can you breathe with your head up your nether regions? Now I see why people use the ignore button for you. I’ve resisted a long time. But for everything there is a season. Because you are Mister Teflon.

You're absolutely right. He looked uncomfortable and unsure of what to do? It's almost like we've never asked him to do that before. I wonder why that is?
You don’t think they practiced that play? You don’t think they told him to tuck and run if it blew up?

Did it look like they practiced that play? It was all systems failure from blocking/execution and timing. You have a backup QB and you run a motion reverse with a downhill RB as the pivot man.

A tunnel screen to Brown serves the same purpose, has 1/10th of the risk and gets your QB in the game.

This isn't rocket science.

So they went playground and drew the play up in the dirt?

FWIW, USC ran a similar play near the end of the game that worked really well, but the USC quarterback made the flip for the reverse. THEIR QUARTERBACK looked really comfortable making that flip because, maybe, he makes that kind of play dozens of times a game...instead of once or twice a season like a RB might.

It looked like a gotcha play we installed this week when the OC found out Levis was out. I can just see him laughing to himself thinking they would expect crod up the gut so we need to do a reverse. The problem is that you don't open a game with that play with those players in that situation. Kaiya didn't have the timing down for the motion. The TE was late to the spot and Chris Rodriguez is the type of guy you hand it off to and get it back from the ref 8 seconds later.

Maybe it's different if it worked but it went so horribly that our OC was forced to justify his decision making for the remainder of the game and ended up beating himself.
