2nd half starting out better but still some bad movement on offense. Overplay by NMSU has allowed us a couple of opportunities.
Up 15 and no one in double figures yet. That’s a good sign, imho
It does seem almost every other ranked team is taking care of business, aside from MSU and UNC had a scare.
I'll say this, there's no reason this team shouldn't be taking cate of these teams. I know it's game 1, we have impactful injuries, and we're starting to pull away.. but Cal has no excuses with this roster.
NMST on a mission to prove themselves. I expected a game for a half. We're starting to pull away. We get a big back, I like our odds even more.
Sheppard is a guy that goes for it. It cost us on the one drive (shep lost both men) and then you see the other side of it (just about took the ball before the player called the TO).
They are really are bad tonight in weirdly timed calls.
Remember when people here said Reed was too slow and unathletic? lol. Fun times.
We look like we are taking care of them pretty well to me . Not a single player on floor right now was here last year. They look fine
Not like this is our first game either. We beat the hell out of teams in Canada. I feel like it’s hard to shoot in Rupp. IDK.
I don't know if "fine" is what I'm looking for with this recruiting class and talent, though.
And NMSU's roster is entirely new themselves.
Hopefully it was just a rocky 1st half.
