Not doubting your post just interested. Who was the buddy who hired him, Stoops? Obviously it’s not working.
He was claiming scang hired yenser because they were friends. Truth was yenser was actually hired first when coen was oc

I'd love the 49Ers Offense if we ran it the way they do. They keep defenses so off balance it's fun to watch. Need a couple of studs like Debo and Kittle to really make it click but when it's clicking, it's awesome. I think if McCaffery gets totally settled in by the post season, they may end up being the team to beat for the Super Bowl. Bosa is back to being healthy, they are a handful for even a good defense.Judging from the comments on this board and the restlessness of the Rams fanbase with their crappy offense this year, I'd say luring Coen back is a nonstarter. Certainly the Rams have had their offensive issues with injuries but their OL is very much below average for the NFL and their 'McVay offense' has struggled to generate points as a result (sound familiar?). Even a really sound scheme without at least a decent OL struggles. Maybe that's the crux of the matter with UK.
Although, I'd like to see more Philadelphia-style pro system than SF-style. But, we may not have really seen what this system can do because of needing RBs and TEs to help an OL that has struggled all year long.
Wandale. Fortner, Kinnard, Dare, Ali. Scang and Yenser not the issue. Hope you guys are happy with who we get next.He was smart and relatable. Excellent teacher and communicator.
Not really. Most of the football coaching circle is a buddy system. Yenser was terrible at Kansas and was actually going to be an assistant high school coach and SMU came to the rescue and made him a "quality control" coach and kept him in the college ranks. No matter how bad it gets you are just a couple of phone call away from landing on your feet again. No way should you come off a 3-33 stint at your first major Offensive line job and four years later be at another P5 in the same capacity. He was claiming scang hired yenser because they were friends. This…..Honestly, Gran was the perfect OC for Stoops. Problem is that’s not what the fans want, not the way to win big in the SEC.Stoops needs to take a long look in the mirror and have accountability.
He needs to decide if he’s willing to accept that a pass heavy offense leads to less TOP typically and more defensive possession.
If the answer is yes…then truly get out of the way and let the offensive coordinator have all the freedom.
If he isn’t willing to stop trying to force his “offense needs to help the defense” mentality then he needs to hire a speed option/RPO run dominant coordinator and go get an Uber athletic QB with a good enough arm to take advantage of the occasional PA or run 5 wide on 3rd and longs
It’s like Stoops has an identity crisis where he thinks he wants a modern offense..he’s hired air raid guys, pro style west coast O guys etc….and then they get here and he wants to dictate tempo and style of play….so go with an offense that actually supports that strategic concept
On how many different threads are you going to blame a position coach for a 3-33 team record? Man, if only he had been canned earlier, no doubt those Kansas teams would've been on the verge of the playoff! Not really. Most of the football coaching circle is a buddy system. I agree with this. It just never has had a feel that he knows what he really wants to do. He knows he has to have better offense to improve here but the first thing he does when something goes awry is to go right into safe mode even if we can’t muster anything. I think it’s dictated by the d he runs which is more Bend but don’t break than playmaking. I remember when uK hired him the one thing visiting fsu fans saying was he was that coach there. So it’s not a new philosophy. So he bases his offense on his defense. But that’s not the kind of offense that’s going to keep up with the upper echelon these days. His struggle is epitomized with his dealing with Gran. I think he loved Gran and the way they did things offensively but also knew he had to get better and had to change his narrative to get some personnel with the portal coming online (Wandale). But I don’t think he inherently disliked what they were doing. He just can’t make a clear directive choice. He knows being the sec’s Iowa isn’t going to jazz anybody up but that’s what he’s comfortable with himself. It’s like Stoops has an identity crisis where he thinks he wants a modern offense..he’s hired air raid guys, pro style west coast O guys etc….and then they get here and he wants to dictate tempo and style of play….so go with an offense that actually supports that strategic concept
I hate that the facts may disrupt your agenda. Hopefully Yensers time at Kansas will be wiped off Wikipedia some day. Considering that was his only substantial experience as an Offensive line coach I would consider it somewhat relevant. I would think that Offensive line results would be somewhat relevant to how the team performs..On how many different threads are you going to blame a position coach for a 3-33 team record? I have no agenda. I agree that offensive line results are relevant to team performance. For all I know, maybe the rest of the team was of 0-36 caliber and the line was relatively good and that's how the three wins happened. A more likely scenario is that the entire team sucked and the line did, too, and that there probably wasn't a lot of talent in the first place.I hate that the facts may disrupt your agenda. Elon scored 31 points vs Vandy. It’s more than just players. Offense shouldn’t be this bad. There’s no excuse.Wandale. Fortner, Kinnard, Dare, Ali. Scang and Yenser not the issue. Hope you guys are happy with who we get next.
Is this an educated guess? Or is there smoke there?Possibly keep and eye on is Tulane's OC Jim Svoboda

Pretty sure Svoboda's early 60s, that's a pass.Is this an educated guess? Or is there smoke there?

Best way to help the defense is to score points and then the defense doesn't have to feel like they have to make every stop.Stoops needs to take a long look in the mirror and have accountability.

Dare Rosenthal really should have came back. We need him playing and to my knowledge he isn't even on a roster. It would have been a win/win for both parties had he not listened to the wrong people.
Neither in a way. I have just watched Tulane play a few times and heard commentators mention his name as a Coach that seems be a on upward path. He probably going be a head coach as his next move but love his offense and perhaps he would tune his skills more at SEC level. I saw in other post he might be in his 60s I got no clue his age just love the offenseIs this an educated guess? Or is there smoke there?
Please don't tell CMS this. His head will explode.Best way to help the defense is to score points and then the defense doesn't have to feel like they have to make every stop.

That’s how you and I think. But defensive ppl think it matters more to keep them off the field and let them restBest way to help the defense is to score points and then the defense doesn't have to feel like they have to make every stop.
