Off topic concerning my health

Had my second amount of cancer this time with bladder and prostate. Went through chemo and radiation and the results of a pet scan are in and they don't see any more cancer in my body. So I will be here longer to pester you guys
Great news, Dave. God is indeed good. I go into Moffitt on Tuesday for another procedure. Number 4 of this round. Hope and pray for good news.

I take it by your message that you have had your cancerous prostate removed and then, post surgery, signs of cancer cells appeared once more. After treatment, it is now gone. Sorry to be wordy but I have had that horrible prostate disease myself. Best to you and as always thank you for the BB info as well.
My first bout with cancer diagnosed in 2019 was colon cancer which required removal of a mass and chemotherapy which damn near killed me. This cancer was bladder which moved into my prostate and so I did chemo and radiation instead of organ removal and I guess it worked

So glad to hear you are cancer free. Keep trusting in God for all your needs. He is always there to walk with us through any circumstance. Thankful that you are getting a restful vacation!

My oncologist said we're not done yet you've got to get a cystoscopy from your urologist to make sure he doesn't see anything we've missed. And also it would be wise to go ahead and do immunotherapy to try to prevent a recurrence
I'm four years out of bladder cancer, i have to get a cystoscopy every 6 months, they are brutal,, I'm 63 now,

Dave,
I really want to encourage you to proceed with immunotherapy! I have been advocating this treatment for years as the 1st line of defense against cancer. It uses your own body's immune system to fight the cancer cells. All cancer cells mutate, and chemo when it is effective it can lead to these mutations and a 2nd round of Chemo is not as effective because of mutations.
Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida is the world's leader in immunotherapy. They are years ahead of the Private sector.
I have well over 100 friends and friends of friends that have been treated with immunotherapy! All are still alive and well. I have one precious friend that was treated 8 years ago with prostate cancer that had spread to his bones and bladder. He is now 86 years old and in perfect health.
Just wanted to encourage you, to many people are dying that could be living life without fear of Cancer coming back. Unfortunately, insurance sometimes won't pay for it, if that happens, please let us know we can all help a Big Blue brother.

Awesome news! I hope it stays away for the long haul. I hope it’s over so you don’t have to go thru that awful Chemo.
