Guess I thought there'd be some news/buzz/rumors coming out of the first practices since the break. Oh well.

Hoping Saunders asserts himself. Looking forward to what he can do. You don't become PA's all time passing leader by being a slouch. Can see him over taking Boley for the #2 spot.

The practices are closed to the public and the media. So any "news" right now would be indirect or rumor. The bulk of the useful news will come from interviews with our coaches at the end of spring practice. That's also when news and rumors about transfer portal happenings might begin to crank up again.

Saunders is a good rotational player who will contribute. Given Saunders' humble player ranking coming out of Grissom hs, it would actually be fair to say he has been an overachiever. Not everyone can be all conference, but I recall Saunders blowing up some plays and being a big part of a goal line stand against GA. Quality depth is important in the SEC.

I don't have a lot of confidence yet in Jaden Williams, the transfer DT from WY. To my eye, he will need to bulk up for the SEC. But David Gusta is a real Power 4 DL and the freshman Edwards sure looks interesting. Let's not forget about Tavion Gadson, who had offers from 5 SEC schools before signing with us but was injured last year.

And I mean it's March. Football season starts in 5 months. I just can't get into spring ball. We know what we are gonna get with Stoops and know we aren't gonna win anything that matters with him. Sec is brutal, is what it is. Apathy is fair but still love watching the Cats and college football in the fall and winter.
