He dressed out. Shocked he didn’t get a few minutes tonight.. Perry was smoked multiple times on D.

Perry did alright, you got to remember he is playing against upperclassmen. Brea got beat quite a few times tonight.
Garrison held it down the last ten minutes, he almost never subbed out. Williams got benched for him.
Perry played fine. Didn’t hurt us at all.
Perry did what he was supposed to do and give Butler a few minutes rest.
He was also plus 11. Not bad
Was more surprised Almonor didn’t play much. He’s proven he can give valuable minutes all year and has hit some huge shots
I only asked because they zoomed in on a guy I thought on our bench in street clothes that looked like him, . No doubt this game wasn’t for him. Wouldn’t have been for Perry either if Kerr wasn’t hurt
He had a HUGE tip out off a long rebound to retain possession during a critical juncture of the game in the 2nd half. He just needs to do little things like that while Kriisa is out. I'm not worried about Perry. His D could be better but it'll come.
This wasn't an Almonor game as UL really gets up into you on defense. They make you really work for shots.
Hasn't played organized ball in two years? Would have been surprising if he was a big contributor 11 games in, not the other way.
Almonor has only made 1 of his last 7 three point attempts. He was a deadeye in November.
I actually thought we would see him make noticeable improvement as the season progressed.
It will definitely come if we can be matched up with players from teams like Ky Wesleyan, Minnesota State, Wright State, Bucknell, Lipscomb, Jackson State or Georgia State and maybe Brown. Against SEC caliber athletes I don't see it progressing much. Even Reed Sheppard who is much more athletic than Perry struggled defensively. Reed had lots of steals because he gambled a bunch but as far as staying between his man and the basket, not so much.
I'm not hating on the kid at all because he's a very good shooter, when open. He can't get his shot on his own too much like Reed did. In my opinion, if he is NEEDED to play major minutes, it could most definitely be worrisome.
