Some states are allowing high school players to get NIL deals but not Kentucky. The new legislation was only addressing college sports. I think this will affect recruiting in all sports. You now have high school kids not only changing schools but also changing states.

what do you all think? Should high school players be able to receive NIL compensation like in the seven states that allows it?

I think it’s fine. This is America, if your name and image hold enough value that a company wants to pay you to use it for their marketing, why not? Parents, coaches and handlers have been raking it in off these kids for the longest, why not let the kids just get that money directly?

Agree 100%. If you are a. HS golfer either man or woman and want to get noticed, it can cost in room, lodging, food, and entry fees close to $1500 a tourney If it an AJGA event. Kentucky has two, Florida, California, and Arizona have over 20. Cost of practice round, qualifying tourneys and then the actual tourneys requires five days food and lodging plus $395.00 in entry fees. The only way a good player from a poor family to play is NIL or beating the bush to find people to donate. Way to much to ask when you have companies willing to NIL their dreams.
