Glad they painted it blue, but that looks terrible. They should put a big chrome 3D UK logo on there.

Someone said they're changing them because of the complaints. That's hilarious. Cheap AZZ Barnhart

One more time, I was there in person, it is aTemporary sign!!! What don't you all not understand about a temporary vinyl sign ??!!

This was just posted by UKAthletics:

We’re always listening.

Over the last week, photos of the back of the video board in the West end zone of The New CWS have circulated on social media. Some fans like the new design, which features “Kentucky Wildcats” at the top with “ ‘TIL THE BATTLE IS WON” below over a blue painted background. Some fans don’t.

Since the design is so visible, we decided we need to let our fans weigh in.

Doesn't seem like it was a temporary solution to me.

He didn't say temporary solution. He said temporary sign, and it is. That's why there are a few more options for us to choose from with only just over 2 weeks until the season. Because it was a temporary sign.

Just made a thread. There are 4 options to choose from. Vote for the one you like.

Hmmm...interesting. The only one I could quickly rule out would be the 'Til the Battle is Won, but could they go ahead and fix the UK logo and get rid of this ridiculous new one while they're listening to our opinions? This is like New Coke in the 80's...I'll just stick with Coca-Cola Classic please.

Understand that it is a removable/changable/temporary sign (a lot of graphics around a stadium are). I thought what he was saying as it was a place holder per say, and not the one they planned on having up for the season. Seems like it was the sign that was going to be up for awhile until everyone complained. Anyways, I like a couple of the options and I think they will look good.

Ok so who is for putting the new and "improved" UK logo on the sign? I think I'll stick with what they've got. Now if we could get them to go back to the classic UK logo then I'm on board.

They need to go back to the old UK Logo, and make the UK out of large steel and put back lighting in it so it lights up the UK at night.

Someone else nailed it. A giant chrome power K.

That was me brother, been screaming it for days! A huge chrome power K to merge the old CWS with the new CWS......add some back lighting and that damn place would freaking pop!

Totally agree. Let's give some credit where it's due.
i don't think giving four crap options and telling us to be happy with the least crappy by popular vote is really what they need to do. first, can the new "UK" logo. its absolutely terrible. Have we invented a new letter? Is that an H-K hybrid? second, do something bold and iconic on the most visible exterior surface...like anyone with any design sense would do.

I feel like the graphics they are using are extremely small. They need to be very big. Look at Neyland Stadium. They have a giant Power T on the back and I think it says VOLS above that. We need similar. You need something big that people see coming from a long way away. Be proud of that logo.

Bold, iconic, creative, cutting edge? This is UK football, it's obvious from the little things like this that they're simply putting lipstick on a pig, I have now lowered my expectations! Four shitty choices that include some stickers and some blue paint is not indicative of a new mindset that I was hoping they would embrace. It's the most visible part of the whole freakin project and they deliver this nonsense 2 weeks before opening day. Who's running this show?

Yep, $120 million worth of lipstick.

I tend to agree with you. I think this is small fries and something that we can change in the future without too much of a problem. I don't think that what they are doing now is the best option, but I also realize that it isn't something that is a big time permanent change. To some degree I don't know that we need to spend a whole lot of money and effort on the back of a scoreboard when we will likely need to replace that scoreboard with a newer one within the next 5-10 years anyway. Might as well have something like large stickers where we can change them out and put different graphics. However, I would like to see those stickers be more bold and attention grabbing.

Except that "till" isn't a word unless discussing farming...........

This is not true. Till is a word and predates the use of until. It is a less common and more informal version of the word until. Not sure there is a need for the apostrophe before the till, but other than that the use of the word till in that sentence is perfectly fine. I believe that numerous dictionaries recognize till as a word, including Websters and the Oxford dictionary.

The original song had it wrong. It can be til, 'til, or till; but 'till isn't a word. Not a big deal since in a song I guess you can make up words.

I have no issue with the use of 'til, till, or til. But 'till, as used in the original song, is not an actual word. All of your examples are correct, they use an apostrophe and til. None of them use an apostrophe and till (TWO L's), like the fight song uses.
