Stenhouse didn't touch Kyle but going 3 wide on lap 1 was a little bit of a bonehead move. They both deserved to be punched in the face.

NASCASR fines Stenhouse $75,000 and suspends his dad indefinitely and 2 crew members for 4 and 8 races for their part. Neither Kyle nor any of his crew received fines or suspensions.

NASCAR needs to be consistent in what they want. Officials say they want "Boys have at it" Police yourselves and punish them every time which is why we almost never see a good ol' fight anymore.

Odd ruling, but not really, NASCAR gonna NASCAR. Suspend daddy and crew members, but the guy who sucker punched another racer AFTER parking in his pit stall on pit road and then going to his hauler hours afterwards to confront a racer, only fined... Not that Stenhouse should be suspended, but IF you are going to suspend crew and Dad, he HAS to get one also. Same as modifications and cheating, never the driver. If penalties was severe for the driver, a lot of the BS would stop. Like it really hurts a driver missing a crew chief or crew member, they can put a guy in the box and on pit road just as good as the guys suspended. Short term anyway. it was 100% premeditated and should have more harsher penalties than fining him a few dollars the team owner will pay anyway. Kyle "I suck as bad as you", lol, well not really. Stenhouse "he is just pissed he is not winning or as good as he used to be so he wrecks people out of frustration" Ugh, Ricky, Kyle is 10 times the racer you will ever think you are. Even now days, he won 2 races last year. Has Ricky EVER won 2 in the same year ?

Yep, it's bullshit they broadcast it all over their social media for engagement then fire off and suspend/fine people involved. If it's unacceptable, it's unacceptable.

Yeah instead of fighting and getting fined they will just wreck each other, tear up equipment and involve other drivers in their mess.

Intentionally dumping someone on the track and a scuffle in the pits/garage area are two entirely different things. I don't believe tearing up others' equipment is what Robin Pemberton had in mind when he gave the 'Boys have at it' quote awhile back. I have no problem with the drivers/crew handling their issues off the track. Some of these punks have no respect out there for their fellow drivers with their aggressive styles putting each other in the wall anyways and need to be taught a lesson. Shit wouldn't fly in the old days with Yarborough or even Jimmy Spencer.

NASCAR created this mess by having a car that makes it almost impossible to pass. In days gone by drivers weren't as aggressive on restarts because they knew if they had a good car, when the tires started wearing, they would get that position and more. Now we have a car that is aero dependent so much so that a good car can't pass a bad car because of aero push. They also have a tire that can last 50-60 laps on a mile and a half track with little to no drop off. So bad handling doesn't come into play as much. That makes restarts more important than ever and being aggressive while cars are bunched up is your best chance of gaining any positions.

Larson 18th at the Indy 500. Skipped 2nd gear early dropping back several spots and a late speeding penalty ruined his chances. Hate that he wasn't there for the start of the Cup race since he runs full-time for a championship but I get the reasoning for staying with how much Hendrick invested into this. Consecutive Indy 500 victories for Josef Newgarden.

151 laps short of the finish, located in your home base of Charlotte, NC with teams all around the area and won't finish the race on Monday. NASCAR's half-assed rulings are beyond a joke.

Tony Stewart bit off more than he could chew with the NHRA team to support Leah's career who is not even actively racing right now. So Tony at age 53 has to put the majority of his focus there and drive full-time. He lit too many fires that he couldn't keep up with. Had to sell-off SRX Racing and now what was one of NASCAR's top Cup teams just a few short years ago when Harvick won 9 races and the Championship team 10 years ago. Not to mention Stewart still has his open-wheel teams, operating Eldora Speedway and up until last year the All Star Circuit of Champions that has now folded.

Also Stewart winning it all in 2011. Custer the reigning Xfinity Champ.

NASCAR has priced themselves out of business. Between the ridiculous prices that the charters cost and the ticket prices they have been pushing fans and owners away for years.

NASCAR should have already granted Larson a waiver and it is unnecessary on their part to be dragging ass making this a story. Like Harvick said, one race he would only be out points and that is enough of a hole. Wouldn't have stopped him from running for a title in the old days. They have granted waivers to drivers like Stewart, Kyle Busch & Elliott in the past for injuries and Kurt Busch for a suspension. They have everything to lose by not having one of the top Championship threats eligible for the playoffs. They will grant it, but the drama right now surrounding it while they drag their ass to make it a storyline is a joke.
