You are probably right. I am just a simpleton fan who doesn't understand all the nuances of the game like cal does. Starting the game not down 5-7 points seems beneficial to me. But what do I know.

Don’t know why, but I’ve never been able to discuss sports (men’s sports in particular) with a woman—especially one I’d been interested in. It just doesn’t seem like a topic I’d enjoy talking about with her. Actually it’s downright uncomfortable. Now with the guys? Oh hell yeah.

Between Copa America, Euros, Wimbledon, NASCAR, and the Home Run Derby and All Star game tomorrow, I’ve probably explained more sport situations in the last week than I have in the rest of my life.

Say, that reminds me…my HS pitching debut my Junior year was the 2nd game of a double header and it resulted in a W. Final score 16-15. I gave up a ton of walks & a bazillion hits…but we won that mothereffer and I got the W.
I was the starting SS but they let me pitch the 2nd game of double headers sometimes. I was 2-1 that year which was the best starting pitcher record on the team. Hahaha. I don’t care if 2nd game of double headers is scrub time…according to the stats, and baseball is all about the numbers & stats, I was the best effing pitcher on the team that year, damnit!!!
