If you can watch the SEC from then and watch the SEC now, and think the eras are comparable. Cool. MJ can be compared across eras because he was the best his era had ever seen. Travis Ford and John Pelphrey, respectively, were not even close to that. And now, the league will get 12-14 teams in the tournament. It’s just much, much deeper and insanely better than it ever has been. That part can’t be argued. You can argue that a couple of guys that had nice roles, not superstars by any stretch, could somehow produce that same level of contribution today if you want. I’ll ask this…Who do you see in today’s SEC that reminds you of Ford or Pel?
