Hope everyone had a good weekend and holiday. Nice to have football back but still plenty going on with UK basketball recruiting.

- Let's start with Marques Bolden's visit. Told the visit went well. Bolden is tough to get a hold of, will continue to try this week, but he seemed to really enjoy his time in Lexington.

That being said, I still don't think he ends up at Kentucky. UK would like to add at least another big, maybe two, but I'd guess as of today it's not going to be Bolden.

Bossi mentioned Alabama is trending for Bolden, but obviously Duke and Kansas are there, too. Tough competition but we'll keep an eye out for Bolden.

- So there's some stuff about Fox floating around that Kansas may lead. I exchanged some messages with Dan McDonald and he's confident Kansas is in a good spot, but also mentioned UK is right there, too. My sources on UK's side of things still feel confident. I wouldn't worry too much.

There's obviously going to be some competition for such a talented guard. No inside information here but my gut tells me that UK and Kansas may split Fox and Monk. Don't think those two go to the same school and you can never count out Kansas (unless it's the NCAA tournament).

- Speaking of Monk, there was a tweet with Bridges:

Monk's response:

I wouldn't expect this package deal to be a Jones/Okafor lock, but those two could definitely team up at UK.

- Nothing has changed with Bridges. I think Kentucky leads. He visited Indiana and he's not going there. He'll visit Michigan State this weekend for their game against Oregon. That will be a crazy weekend to be on campus. As long as you don't hear of a decision date or a cancellation of other visits, Kentucky should be able to survive the MSU visit.

- P.J. Washington is the mystery recruit I mentioned in another thread. He'll unofficially visit soon. He's really, really good and will be a solid wing player wherever he goes.

- Kobi Simmons didn't like my report of him changing his date, but his tweet saying he was still announcing 9/19 has since been deleted. The plan is to push it back, but if he announces 9/19 it won't be UK. His UNLV visit went well but I don't think it was enough to push UNLV ahead of UK.

He'll visit OSU this weekend.

- The more and more I hear, the less likely Gabriel ends up at UK. Maryland is trending and I still think he wants to go to Duke if it works out from a minute perspective. Bummer because he's a hell of a player. He'll visit the Cats 9/25.

- Udoka Azubuike is still being recruited by UK. Kansas is really high on him, and I know Azubuike is high on Florida State, but I'm told the Cats are still in contact.

- Going to write a post here pretty soon about UK's 2016 recruiting efforts. Just a different, more positive vibe than 2015.
