Hope everyone was able to enjoy their weekend despite the football game. Big recruiting weekend, not only for UK but for the rest of the country as well. A ton of players committed this weekend to schools across the country, but for Kentucky, it was a big weekend because Miles Bridges was on campus.

- Bridges is going to be tough to get on the phone between now and by the time he wraps up his recruitment on Oct. 3rd. So we may not get a lot of info from him directly, although there is still info to be had.

As Jason mockingly posted in another thread, the visit went well. He did the normal visit things that I don't need to point out, but he did spend a lot of time with the players, including fellow Midwesterner Tyler Ulis, who also picked Kentucky over Michigan State.

They went shopping, went around campus, took in the football game. UK's basketball team was honored and supposedly Bridges thought that was pretty special to see 64,000 fans stand up for the basketball team.

So the visit was a positive experience for Bridges, who's been on Kentucky's campus before, but I'm told the spending time with players was significant.

However, not surprisingly, there was no silent-verbal, or promise to commit (so I'm told). Cats still feel good but they'll be watching on Oct. 3rd just like Michigan State and Indiana.

I am told that Cassius Winston's commitment to Michigan State is obviously a positive, but won't be the reason he picks the Spartans if MSU is the choice.

I'm still leaning Kentucky after the visit but we'll hear more as the decision date looms near.

- Jarrett Allen plans on cutting his list soon. I'm not sure if Kentucky will make this cut, I'd imagine they will, but definitely think Texas has the leg up in this recruitment. Kansas may not be too far behind.

- Cats are meeting with De'Aaron Fox today. In less than a month Fox will meet with the Cats again on his official visit for Big Blue Madness, but I'd like to be a fly on the wall for today's meeting. I think UK likely leads for Fox. He may say he has no leaders and other schools aren't going to concede, but Fox seems to understand Calipari's track record and he seems to get the idea of this being a business decision.

Kentucky can't lock up this recruitment today, but Calipari is going to tell Fox a lot of things he's going to like to hear.

Fox visited LSU this weekend, told he had fun (duh), and will visit Louisville this weekend. He'll take a weekend off, then hit up Kansas, then UK the following weekend for BBM, and he set his final official visit for Arizona on 11/6, so expect a decision after that. I still expect him to sign early but we'll see.

- Reports out there UK will meet with Edrice Adebayo again, after meeting with him last Monday. Take this as good news. Just from a guessing standpoint, the Cats made enough of an impression last week to open Bam's mind of the idea of spurning N.C. State, and Calipari is coming back to keep that idea fresh in his mind.

Remember, no official visits set yet for Adebayo. He's planning on visiting UK but we're unsure of the date.

- Wenyen Gabriel visits the Cats this weekend. I don't believe the Cats lead in this recruitment but you never know what can happen on an official visit. He'll do the same old visit stuff that Bridges did this past weekend and attend the football game against Mizzou.

- Still waiting to hear about Kobi Simmons and when he'll decide. The longer he waits, it likely means the better for Kentucky, but still think the Buckeyes have jumped the Cats here, and Kentucky is likely OK with that.

- Malik Monk visited Oregon. Haven't heard any reports of how that visit went, but would be surprised if it went well enough to move the Ducks ahead of Arkansas, Kentucky or even Kansas.

- Hoping to talk to P.J. Washington's father this week to see how his visit with his brother, Spencer went last week. Think P.J. has a great chance at ending up at UK if the Cats want them.
