Missouri is my pivotal game

And I am in the minority that thinks beating South Carolina in Columbia when Spurrier can exploit the revenge motive will be very difficult this year.
Please, he has too big of an ego to make it a big deal or highlight that he actually lost to lowly Kentucky. Higher chance that his team will be looking ahead to Georgia the next Saturday than them being fired up to enact revenge for the WildKemp loss.

We have a better chance beating Missouri than we do SC. SC has better talent than Mo. and we play them at SC. If we beat SC I think we have a good shot at winning all three. I do not see us beating MSU at their place, sure they lost a lot but they return their QB and have had as good or better recruiting than we have since Stoops arrived.

This is the best analysis I have seen so far.

I find it funny that so many are just writing off SC as a loss based on ? We almost beat them at SC in Stoops first year for Christs sake. They are trying to shore up their Dline with a bunch of JC players. We all know how hard it is for first year JC players to contribute right away.

Same with Missouri, their defensive line has been decimated. The 2 guys they were counting on - one got injured and the other was dismissed. They very well could be vulnerable with us getting them at home.

There is a very real opportunity to open this season up with a 5-0 run if everything comes together early and we are able to minimize our mistakes on defense. Probably the best chance I've seen in some time for us to beat some good SEC programs who may be down a bit this year.

I'd probably put the likelihood by best to worst as: Mizzou, Florida, SC.

I have Mizzou and Florida about the same but I give Florida the edge as tougher because we haven't beaten them since I was a wee little kid.

I don't put much faith in pre season rankings, but FWIW, Sports Illustrated has Missouri ranked 20th. They have four UK opponents in their top 25. Seems like the schedule is in your favor, but maybe not Missou.

From the standpoint of establishing bowl eligibility, all individual games on our schedule this year count the same. From the standpoint of SEC games, I don't see how anyone can single out South Carolina as being more important than Florida or Missouri, or vice versa. I am in the minority here that thinks Kentucky has a pretty good chance to beat Missouri in Lexington. And I am in the minority that thinks beating South Carolina in Columbia when Spurrier can exploit the revenge motive will be very difficult this year. But if we play mistake free football, we can beat most of the teams on our schedule, and that definitely includes all the September games.

I agree with you. I think South Carolina is the least likely win of the 3. You have to win home games, and we get two rebuilding teams (Mizzou and UF) early in the season at home (and hopefully both are at night).
