Mitch and Stoops certainly are aligned. Schedule is hard we have a lot of injuries …..

I agree with what he is saying, NIL made things a lot harder on a lot of schools and we really don’t have the money and resources that some others might, but either you become savvy and find other ways to make money for your players to help the sports programs or as Mitch likes doing, just sitting back watching and waiting for someone to show him how to play.
You run a system that does more with less…that’s the answer

We will never recruit high level 2-3 deep at every position to consistently compete with the big money/big brand teams playing straight up.

You either run a true spread air raid. Or you run an RPO/triple option blend to maximize your linemen’s ability

Im as pissed as anyone about some of the losses this season, but i have no idea what fans expected out of this game. We were down tons of starters vs a top 10 rival, on the road, at night.

This had all the makings of a blowout. The fact guys stayed dialed in was really impressive. If brock doesn't get hurt, i think we win that game. If wimsatt doesn't telegraph that pass, we might win anyway.

Incredible effort from a very short handed bunch.

When was the last time Vanderbilt beat Alabama and Auburn in the same year? If they beat Tennessee…

Our fans still cant understand how good vandy is. It blows my mind. We should've won that game, but theyre a d@mn good team.

They are very good. Lose to Texas by 3 and Mizzou in OT. The lone misstep was gaSt which has the feel of not understanding how to be successful yet after their early season notoriety. But it's not from having tons of talent. They lost their best wr to UGA, brought in 2-3 p5 backups and some g5 and fcs kids. I'm hyper annoyed by the group of fans doing their best to act like NIL is undoing us. Long term barnhart needs to get with the times, or preferably move on so someone that can deal with the new culture can begin, but the struggle this year can't be blamed on NIL. The schedule is punishing us more for having the same issues we tend to have in stoops' entire tenure.

I have not taken up for stoops since the ole miss game. I just simply state facts. Besides, I wasn’t taking about stoops. I was talking about KSR.

But the answer is yes. I’m Bob.
Guy, you are all over this board taking up for Stoops at every single opportunity. You like Stoops and don't want to see him leave. Just own it.

After watching them play several times, the big thing that jumps out at me that Vandy has and we don’t this year isn’t more talent, it’s more discipline. They have everybody playing their assignments on just about every snap, which allows them to grind out drives on offense and keeps them from giving up cheap big plays on defense. They don’t hurt themselves repeatedly with dumb penalties, and in fact, have been experts at taking advantage when other teams do.

They’re basically what Stoops wants us to be, but with much better execution. It’s really frustrating to think about, because that style of play inherently has a small margin of error and demands high attention to detail, but we’re still struggling with the details after 12 years of this staff.

No I keep saying that Mitch won’t fire him. I said the same about cal. But on here if you’re not toting a pitchfork then you’re a stoops lover or a cal lover.

But more on your point, I will absolutely defend stoops when he deserves it. I’ll also criticize the bad. I don’t get into extreme ideology and I don’t make blanket statements

They have got High Quality QB. That type of player makes a massive difference

I damn well know we’re 9 million a year was wasted. Pay for players not worthless coaches.
Think if Mr Stoops contract was only 6 mil ( 3 mil over what hes worth ) , the other 3 mil buys 3-4 other very good players , like maybe 5-6 lineman ????? with that we are setting at 5-3 or 6-2 or whatever , but we evidently spent all our money on Stoops .. and now we talk like we ( the program) are paupers setting on the corner begging .. while the fans hard earned bucks is given to rather poor ass players that cant get in a 3 or 4 point stance because they are tired .. poor babies .. screw them all , burn it down .. yeah I've had enough .

Even better, they have a high quality oc that had a history of success with a talent disadvantage. Vandy hired him but we zeroed in on bush.

The irony is the low snap offense drove uk fans crazy the last several years. Many were very vocal about playing fast etc. The only way we're going to win in this current insanely difficult sec is to slow down and cut the game. Fans need to accept that for what it is.
