I've heard both, stroke seems to fit better but we'll find out in due time.
Could be both as well. Which is why it’s being painted so dire. And I can sadly say I don’t know of anyone who’s survived that double whammy.
Just read two articles and one said he was in a critical state and the other said he was going to need a miracle.
Damn this is terrible, pulling for the pirate to steer the ship into recovery quickly. The SEC is better with him among the family, cmon pirate you can do it ! Praying for Christ to bless you and heal you and watching over your family and MSU 🙏🏽📿
Don't think they would need to airlift him if it was a heart attack
Just read on ESPN that he had struggled with Pneumonia throughout the season.
Air lifted my wife when she had hers and it was a lot closer than 128 miles.
Coworker from Miss St saying he is hearing rumors that Leach is brain dead and family being called into hospital. Prayers to the Pirate and his family. He is only 61.
Horrible. Dude's off the field interviews are treasures.
I read he had battled with complications from pneumonia most of the season.

Folks, take care of your health. MEN, going to the doctor is not a weakness. Listen to them and follow their directives. I can attest that not doing so will lead to you declining.
Watched my Mom do it. She got tired of dealing with them and whelp.

One posted on UGA's board, if I knew how I would post it, but said he had non survivalible brain trauma. Went 10-15 minutes without treatment. As these said family being called in to say final goodbyes. Sad situation
I was told that his whole family isn't there and when they arrive they will say there good byes.

My heart goes out to them cause I lost my dad this year and know what it is like. Leach was a character that rarely comes around in the coaching ranks. He will be missed by all of college football fans not just the SEC brethren
I know this is meaningless bit I wonder if Army might replace them in a bowl game. They just got their 6th win against Navy and I can't imagine Mississippi State feels like playing.
Leach is one of my favorites in the coaching ranks. I have to admit that I was VERY concerned about his health this season. He was coughing heavily at interviews/press conferences and didn't have a good color about him. Didn't think it would lead to this awful situation, though. Prayers to his family.
Or they could want to do it for Coach Leach. I think Leach wouldn't want them to drop out.
Very sad news. He was definitely a controversial figure in some ways, but a pretty remarkable offensive mind. He, more than Mumme I believe, built Tim Couch into the number 1 pick in the NFL draft, So he has a place in Kentucky history and should be respected for his short time here. He was an innovator and an entertainer. Hoping for the best possible outcome, but in the very least it looks like his career on the sidelines is over. Prayers to his family and to the MSU faithful.

Mississippi State University offered an update on football coach Mike Leach following his hospitalization for a "personal health issue."
I’m in healthcare and typically when something like this happens, they’re needing critical life saving measures not available at nearby hospital. Might need an emergency CABG. Who knows. Hope he can turn it around!
