I think Michigan's player development is overrated. Beilein has done good job with a couple of underrated kids that had a chip on their shoulder. If his player development was so good why did 5-star Glen Robinson get drafted in the second round? Why is 5-star Zak Irvin still on campus as a junior?
Also, at Michigan, Brown would have to play some 4. Defending fours in the Big Ten would not be fun. The Big Ten is a very physical league.
Granted all this could be meaningless since Adidas is involved. Maybe Adidas is the number 1 factor and so powerful that everything else is secondary. Who knows.
